It was announced during tonight's NXT television tapings at Full Sail University that The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly), SAnitY (Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe & Killian Dain), and Roderick Strong & The Authors of Pain would be facing off in a War Games match next month. It's the first time that WWE has used the match type since acquiring WCW in 2001.

If they are going to do WarGames, they should do 4 vs 4 WarGames, not this bastardized three-way version.

That was my first thought.  But this opens the door to annual War Games that might be more traditional.  You know this is a 100% HHH decision.

I'd heard it a few times including I believe on the flair podcast about how the WWE couldn't do the war games because the NWA / WCW cage was all messed up or they didn't know where it was; Making it sound like the WWE couldn't get a double ring cage built.

When the tickets go on sale I'll check them out and see I might go and take my son. We are already going as a family to smackdown that Tuesday.

They can build a Hell in a Cell, an Elimination Chamber and a Punjabi Prison, but they can't build a two-ring cage? Okay...........

Even if they had the old one, I doubt they would use it.

I thought the problem was that you lose a load of premium ringside seats, and those that are left have a crap view.

Now that I think about, I wonder if this "WarGames" match will only be a one-ring match with the Hell in a Cell, with the WarGames rules used.

PWInsider specifically said they were using a 2-ring cage, but I don't know who their source is for that.

I'm actually pretty excited about this announcement.  Not the same-old, same-old.  Good idea.

My thoughts exactly, it's a cage made of chain link how hard can it be to create? thats why I always laughed when I heard it.
I think the seat loss is the real reason but in a situation like this where it's the first night of a 4 night stand losing some seats isn't as painful on a one night event.

There was nothing worse than the rest of the card at a War Games PPV however...the two rings were a pain in the balls, because the guys always went into both. Only when somebody flew from one ring into the next was it remotely cool. The other thing that always happened was a face would get a pinfall on the heel in one ring while the ref was struggling to get out of the other ring to make the count - but when it was the heel's turn to get a pin, the ref was in position. That actually was pretty cool too.

There is one thing worse... the rest of the card at a World War 3 PPV.

The official seating map for the 11/18 NXT Takeover: Wargames event was released on Ticketmaster.com and indeed, it will be a two-ring caged match, the first time in WWE history that has ever happened. We were told by a source that what we will see that night is something of an adapted version of the match with a WWE spin on it, but what that means, I don't know. They are already deviating from the original version of the match in that it will feature three teams.
