NO, not this.

Prior to Net Neutrality, Verizon and Comscast both limited access to Netflix, causing people to deal eith massive amounts of buffering. Since then, millions of households have "cut the cord" seriously cutting income to the cable companies. Without Net Neutrality and with more people using Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime, there's nothing to keep the cable companies from charging more or limiting access to try to recoup their losses. Enjoy the WWE Network while you can

For the life of me I can't understand why people don't get this..

Because of this

This wasn't as prevalent then as it is now.

No one's going to take away access to your soft core bondage pics.  And if anyone ever did, you can bet your bottom dollar that it would be someone in the government, not the big, bad private companies who would be happier to make a buck any way they could.

This.

I'm not so sure. Plenty of companies are owned by hardcore religious folks. I'm willing to bet that there are some internet providers who would love to be able to say that they don't carry porn.

I'm only worried that the ISPs, most of which are now cable systems, will figure out a way to force people to keep their cable TV in exchange for cheaper, unlimited internet. Their alternative would be charging more for internet for people that do not want cable, and also throttling the amount that they can stream things like Netflix, etc.

For me? I don't get affected because I'm not giving up cable in NY as I love my FiOS. But if I were to move to say Florida in a couple of years, I'd be getting a good antenna and an Apple TV, and at that point it would be a potential stumbling block for me. I don't want Bright House cable, it blows, and would rather just do the old antenna and Apple TV as a solution.

Not being snarky, but can you provide me with examples, particularly in digital media?
