I'll be in New Orleans Tuesday to Friday (flight is early Saturday morning).  I doubt there's any way at all I'll have time to do something wrestling-related, but on the off-chance I can squeeze something in I was wondering if there's one place where I can find all of the events listed for the week.  I don't even think anything starts happening until Thursday or Friday.

Enjoy. Awesome town, plenty to do without the 'rasslin. Let me know if you need any suggestions on restaurants.

Sure.  I'm planning out my itinerary now.  I'm open to suggestions.

And I came across this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/WrestlemaniaPlans/comments/74zwmh/2018_master_list_of_all_wrestlemania_weekend/

It seems pretty comprehensive and I'm fairly certain absolutely none of it will fit into my schedule.  Maybe I'll stumble upon something smaller and more under-the-radar earlier in the week, before most of the masses fly in.

I was down there for a convention a year ago, a Sunday thru Wednesday.

We stayed downtown at the Loews, so everything was within walking distance. The conference was at the convention center on the River.

If you get a chance, definitely check out Emeril's. One of the best meals I have ever had. We also really enjoyed Domenica for dinner...it's in the old Waldorf Astoria hotel (Roosevelt Hotel now). Those were out two "high end" meals.

For lunch on Sunday, we did the Company Burger, which was great (more fast casual). Also, Willa Jean next door to that is excellent for breakfast.

One more for lunch - a sandwich joint down in the Warehouse District - Cochon Butcher. It gets busy, but super worth it.

Also, if you get a chance to check out the World War 2 Museum, it's terrific. It was a hidden gem. There's also a nice outlet mall along the river.

You gotta have at least one breakfast at Mother's. And of course a mandatory visit to Cafe Du Monde. There's a Harrah's downtown if you're a casino guy. NOLA Brewing if you're into microbrewed beers (I'm not but my friends are).

Café du Monde is on the itinerary. I'm a picky eater so I have to check menus for the restaurants. I'll try to squeeze in a casino run, it's really close to my hotel. We only have 3 1/2 days so I'm not sure how much we can get to.

My tentative plan is for Tuesday to fly in and do the French Quarter stuff in the afternoon and early evening but probably turn in a bit early after the flight, on Wednesday to do some cemetary tours and then hit Bourbon Street and take in a show at Preservation Hall, on Thursday to go down to the Garden District and then up to the Marigny/Frenchman Street area, and then that leaves all day Friday to leave the city and do bayou and plantation tours.  I wish I had an extra day.

If you get a chance to stop by St. Louis Cathedral, the architecture is amazing. Otherwise, sounds like you will be busy as hell already. Enjoy. It’s a cool city.
