Now the conspiracy theory is spreading that the students speaking out are paid actors. Alex Jones is going to uncover the truth in this.

That one kid does have a passing resemblance to Frankie Munoz.

Tip to anyone spreading a conspiracy theory about this: It doesn't make you look smarter. It doesn't make you an expert on politics. It makes you look like a fool.

I don't know of any having any measurable impact on gun violence, but how such a thing would be measured seems difficult to determine. Guns getting turned in does not necessarily increase or decrease the likelihood of existing guns in the general public getting used.
Anyone turning in a gun voluntarily was not the person who was going to use it to murder someone.

The point of the gun amnesty is that stricter gun control laws have to apply to everybody, existing gun owners don't get to keep what they already have. There is no perfect solution, but you have to start somewhere.

But, you're going to end up with armed teachers now, anyway. The NRA wins again. Hundreds of thousands of new gun owners created, and only 17 people had to die.

Armed teachers is something that is getting kicked around, but there is no political will for it to happen. Keep in mind that teachers are unionized. Their contracts are highly contentious when any changes are made. Arming teachers and having them engage in training and continuing education is a collective bargaining issue. The national and local unions aren't remotely interested in enabling their members to do something like this and in most places whatever legislative action that must take place isn't like to occur either. It's all just talk.

I think grunge music and later emo music is more likely to drive such behavior than gangsta rap.

I also think our school systems have failed by pushing the college agenda and now we have tons of directionless teenagers and young adults that have zero work skills and due to Societal pressures have even worse people skills. Which leaves them with plenty of time to plot and brood about making someone or some group pay for their own lack of ability.

Just a thought.

True, the first school shooting was "Jeremy".  He seemed a harmless little fuck.

Now that the root cause has been identified someone needs to go back in time and stop that song from being made.

Jeff Sessions nails it.

Another hero who put his life on the line for us each and every day. He must be one of those very very very few "bad" cops.

https://nypost.com/2018/02/22/sheriffs-officer-who-did-nothing-to-stop-florida-shooter-resigns/?utm_source=facebook_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site%20buttons&utm_campaign=site%20buttons

A Florida sheriff’s officer who did “nothing” during the Parkland school shooting last week has resigned in disgrace, officials said Thursday.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School resource officer Scot Petersen was armed, in uniform and “clearly” knew there was an active shooter but did “nothing” to intervene, according to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel.

Security footage shows Petersen “arrive at the west side of building 12, take up a position and he never went in,” according to Israel, who said the revelations made him “sick to [his] stomach.”

Israel said Petersen should have “Went in, address the killer, kill the killer.”

“After seeing video, witness statements and Scot Petersen’s very own statement, I decided this morning to suspend Scot Petersen without pay, pending an internal investigation,” Israel said. “As is his right, Scot Petersen chose to resign.

“The investigation will continue.”

The sheriff said he likely won’t release the footage unless it is subpoenaed as part of the criminal case against alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz.

Two other deputies are facing investigation, Israel said.

“I’ve restricted two of our deputies as we dig deeper into this, take statements and make a decision to see whether or not they could have done more, should’ve done more,” he said.

Accused mass-murderer Cruz killed 17 people and injured 15 more when he opened fire on the school with an assault rifle on Valentine’s Day.

We all know that cops are most comfortable shooting unarmed kids.  If Cruz had a joint in one hand and his wallet in the other, he would’ve had 16 bullets in him.

The funny thing is, the same cowardly cops who refuse to act will be the ones to shoot a teacher in the back who actually is acting.  I've always said the biggest need for the 2nd Amendment is to protect us from our own government and its enforcement wing, which is cops.  If you're going to arm citizens in should be in conjunction with the elimination of cops.  And by elimination it can be firing or a bullet to the head with no legal consequences.  But when citizens are running around protecting themselves and others and then the yahoo cops show up,  it's going to be a bloodbath.  We need protection to be able to take them out.

So, this is how it happens:
Website A creates a photoshop:
Website B sources Website A as the source.
Website C sources Website B as the source.
Pretty soon you are literally thousands (even tens or hundreds of thousands) of sources away from the website that created the fake news.  Then all the Jones dopes believe it and even some who are not fall for it.  People are easily fooled, over and over again.  All studies show that.  Lying works.  It is effective.
