Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.  The Leafs did little other than add Tomas Pleckanac to give them a very solid 4C.  Their blue line is still too weak, I think, to get to the finals, but if Freddie Andersen stays hot and the forwards score like they're capable of, they may run and gun their way through a couple rounds.  Still, they're going to have a tough row to hoe, with likely match ups against Boston and Tampa standing in the way of that.

Really like the Stastny pickup by the Jets. They needed a more talented centre to go with Laine and Ehlers, plus he's good in the faceoff circle. Giving up a first round pick is tough, but it should be a low first rounder, and definitely with the risk this season.

Bring on them draft picks baby!!! The Red Wings will hopefully go on full-scale rebuild finally!!!
But, failure to unload Mike Green still takes a toll on the salary cap.....

Its certainly an overpayment, but Vegas was determined to do "something" and had a shitload of picks accumulated. First this year, second next year, third in 2020 or something like that.
It's a lot but I think it was more a last minute decision to do something after the Erik Karlsson talks broke down late.
