As far as I know, the police officers are still employed.

“No charges have been filed against the cops. All of the officers involved are still employed by the department.”

All these stories always have the same ending.

Yes, it's an utter disgrace that someone can get as damages enough money to retire on for a basic traffic accident and some legal hassle afterwards when there seems to have been no injury at all. No wonder US damages awards are unenforceable over here, they are an utter joke.

Katook hacked Kargol’s account. That was good for a laugh though.

Guy didn't get damages here - he sued and the City decided to settle the lawsuit with a payoff rather than go to trial.  Which was smart, if they went to trial they risked the court with possibly giving the guy more money AND having to cover the substantial legal fees for both parties when NY City and State are both hurting for cash.  It was a smart deal.

Not to mention that the dirty cops would be on full display. I still cannot believe they have jobs after trying to frame a citizen. It is unreal. I guess the longer I am separated from law enforcement, the more jaded I get.

I don't care how bad the police conduct was. One million dollars is a joke. That's not compensation, that's a lottery win.
