JEFF HARDY ARRESTED
by Mike Johnson @ 11:42 PM on 3/11/2018

WWE star Jeff Hardy was arrested on Saturday evening 3/10 for driving while impaired in Concord, North Carolina, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Hardy, 40-years old, was arrested at 10:20 PM on 3/10 at 4545 Concord Pkwy South, according to the Cabarrus County Sherriff’s Office. He was released a little over an hour later at 11:24 PM. No details have been released yet on the circumstances leading to the arrest.

Hardy has also been hit with a 30 day pretrial revocation of his driver's licence, which means that currently, he cannot legally drive. That is a normal procedure in the State following an arrest of that nature. He is slated to appear in Cabarrus County Court on 4/16 in regard to his arrest.

The former WWE champion has been out of action since undergoing surgery for a torn labrum and a torn rotator cuff in September 2017. He has been slated to head to the WWE Performance Center later this month to work out in the ring in advance of his return to action.

With Jeff out of action, hs brother Matt Hardy has been feuding with Bray Wyatt. WWE filmed the latest chapter of that feud, Ultimate Deletion, on the Hardy compound this past Friday 3/9. There is no word yet whether Jeff Hardy was slated to (or did) appear in any fashion during the filming.

Obviously, the story is developing, and we will have more details as they emerg

WWE issued the following statement to PWInsider.com this morning regarding Jeff Hardy's 3/10 arrest in Concord, NC, right outside of Charlotte:

"Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials."

Meanwhile, CBSSports.com is reporting that the accident report for the incident leading to Hardy's arrest for Driving While Impaired states that Hardy "was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly "ran off the roadway ... striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the car spun out 90 degrees ... coming to rest in the middle of the right [north]bound lane of travel."

CBSSports.com's report also stated that it was estimated by police that Hardy caused $8,000 of damage to his 2016 Cadillac and $5,000 to the guardrail itself.

Unless this is related to an illegal drug, it's no strike.  He had two strikes but under the Randy Orton rule I think he's had a strike removed.

That sounds pretty damn bad, probably a case of him blacking out at the wheel actually.  I don't see how he could keep his job.  If they fired Rich Swann for that bullshit, Hardy has to be gone.  And what horrible timing for him and the Broken Universe angle, which has been cursed from day one.

I doubt Hardy was drunk or high if they released him only a little over an hour after he was brought in.

TMZ.com picked up the story on Jeff Hardy's arrest for Driving Under the Influence on 3/10 in Concord, NC.

The website is reporting that according to police sources, Hardy submitted to a breathalyzer after crashing his car into a guard rail, and blew a .25. That would be three times the legal limit.

Hardy is slated to appear in court on 4/16.

Sounds like bullshit too. Blowing a .25 is justthisclose to drinking yourself to death. Released in an hour and some sources say that he didn't have to post a penny's worth of bond. Some grassy knoll type conspiracy here.

Agreed. The numbers don't add up. legal impairment for operating a vehicle is usually between .08 and 1.0. Double and a half times that and released in an hour? Nonsensical.
He would probably have a hard time walking out under his own power with that much booze in his system. Would have made him at least sleep it off I would think, and probably hold over for the sheer levels over the limit he was at.

Didn't Swann get fired for beating up his woman?

He never "beat up" his woman.  They got into a public argument and he might (or might not have) grabbed her arm and led her back to his car.

There's going to be a documentary on the Hardys airing after MITB this Sunday night on WWE Network which will get into both of their myriad problems and also use Impact footage.

Vinny Russo angle time! Jeff misses a title defence because he has no license to drive from the airport to his match and gets stripped of the title.

That’s actually not a bad idea

Or they could have his opponent tie up whoever Jeff’s ride was going to be and then the opponent wins the title via no show.
