Not about Bill Cosby by the way.

I'm a sports geek as most of you know, so really the one that has me at this point are the accusations that came up about new Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia.

Accuser goes back to 1996. Enough evidence for a Grand Jury indictment. Accuser backed out so no conviction.

If it's my wife or daughter, I don't care if it was 20 years ago or not. It happened.

But I dunno. I feel like in this case someone is just surfacing to try to ruin somebody.

There is a big difference between legal ramifications and social ones.  The legal stuff is pretty clear-cut, and these accusations rarely lead to a conviction or even a trial.  If there's enough evidence, by all means move forward without a statute of limitations for something as serious as rape.

But you'll never be able to get everyone on the same page when it comes to the social backlash.  I think clearly if someone hasn't been convicted of a crime or even charged with one, they're 100% innocent, period, and should face no consequences.  But people can fire or boycott who they want and there's not much you can do about that.

It's just such overload now that these guys can actually hide in the open, both the truly guilty and the falsely accused of silly little things.  You can't stay mad at everyone and there are 6 stories a week coming out, so a lot of this blows over after a couple of news cycles.  It's gotten so absurd that it's actually self-regulating now and you have to do something really bad (like Cosby) for it to stay in people's minds for long.

Well (Krazykid) I don't know what happened but the accuser backed out and recanted her story 20 years ago.

Now she is coming forward. What changed in the past 20 years?

It may have happened and may be true for all I know.

COSBY ACCUSERS  some came multiple times and some even took money and once the money stopped come back with new stories.
Don't worry when 20 more females come out on Matt Patricia sexually assaulting them i hope you keep the same energy.

I dunno. I can't explain my inconsistencies of this one.

I believed the Cosby accusers. They all had basically the same story and it showed a pattern of behavior.
