All great ones mentioned.
A personal fave, was during the GAB or Starrcade (cant remember which), and Ronnie Garvin comes in a punches out Dusty and causes Dust to lose the match against Windham. I think this was also the PPV with the Tower of Doom, and RG had fought earlier in the evening alongside the babyfaces.

I do enjoy the Horsemen's turn on Sting at the Clash right before the Horsemen vs. J-Tex Corp. match. Out of all the predictable beatdowns on Sting, that was my favorite one.

The Austin-Bret double-turn is the greatest double-turn in history in my mind.

Two of my favorites are from 1992 WCW. Scott Steiner, his brother Rick injured, was lumbered with Marcus Alexander Bagwell as a partner and attacked him after Bagwell was attacked at ringside by Arn Anderson before a tag. Then Dustin Rhodes turned on Barry Windham by refusing to pin Ricky Steamboat. I was on Windham's side at the time as what he said made sense.

But going a bit further back, surprised nobody mentioned Dick Murdoch's attack on Ted DiBiase when Ric Flair came to town, or DiBiase's turn on JYD and alliance with Matt Borne and Hacksaw Duggan.

2 classic Mid-South angles and definitely up there.

Ciampa might be the only heel to get legit heat in the past 20 years.  And they said it couldn't be done anymore.

Just watched last week's NXT. Ciampa's entrance was fantastic. Usually, the NXT heels get at least some cheers on their entrance, then people boo their promos when they're supposed to. The people really hate Ciampa, though. I can imagine that Borash was maybe producing the crowd before he came out, but they're making a TV show, and makes such a difference when people actually hate the heel. Does PWI still do Top 10 Most Hated? He should be on that list ten times. I loved the guy ringside in the the white t-shirt and glasses who was red in the faces shouting "I hate you!" at Ciampa, with his friend holding him back.

You do realize that 20 years ago, the Mr. McMahon character was just starting up and was a heat magnet and on the other channel, Hogan was still getting crowds riled up right and left?
And there's this Jericho guy that has been know to provoke fans to jump the rail a few times.

Yes, 20 years ago Vince was getting heat and Hogan briefly was before he tried to be cool. 19 years ago, not nearly as much. The fans were already too smart. That’s why I said it. And Jericho rarely got legit heat, he’s someone everyone loves to hate. The only exception was his great run with HBK. That was a long time ago now too.

As an AWA fan and because there was no interwebs back then so you really didn't know what was going on elsewhere or behind the scenes and turns werent pretty much telegraphed like they have been for the longest time I was shocked when Verne Gagne brought out Mad Dog Vachon as his mystery partner.

Andre/Hulk
Zbysko/Sammartino

Those are the two biggest though I think.

Speaking of AWA - I remember the Hogan face turn when he came to the aid when Brad Rheingans was getting the snot beat out of him by Adnan Al-Kaissie's men.  I was freaking out over it

The DVD poll thread had me thinking of Sgt. Slaughter-- his face turn when he encountered the Iron Sheik in the aisle was pretty good.
