|Enjoyed it, as well. There was a lot of fan-pandering, which was almost overdone, at times. For instance, Lando's mention of having property on "Oseon"-- a reference to the 80's Lando paperback "The Flamewind of Oseon". Plus the mention of Bossk, Aurra Singh, the Empire Theme in the recruitment video, and the whole Wookiee slave thing.
"The Kessel Run"--I'm okay with not having EVERY line of dialogue in the original trilogy clarified or defined. So does this mean there's a "Luke Bulls-eyeing Womprats in Beggars Canyon" movie in development?
So it's a little scary that the fans seem to be influencing the Star Wars writing (prime example: Boba Fett in Episode 2). Darth Maul's re-appearance feels like that.
Appreciated the Western theme-- train robbery and the temporary "two guys shackled together, escaping from the chain gang" thing.
I thought Woody would be annoying, but found his character was a worthy addition to the Star Wars-verse.
Would definitely be down for a sequel. Or a Lando spin-off. Little surprised that Alamo Drafthouse didn't have Colt 45 on their special "Solo-influenced Drink List".
