Championship Wrestling from Georgia was own by Ole Anderson.

In April of 85 when JCP took over the 6:05 slot. Championship Wrestling from Georgia merged with JCP.

My Question did JCP buy Championship Wrestling from Georgia or did Ole at that point give up running his own Promotion.

It looks like Ole Anderson just gave up on promoting as opposed to JCP buying CWG. Once JCP got the Saturday 6:05 ET spot on WTBS, there was little Ole could go but go along with them. Perhaps some money was kicked his way in exchange for folding, but it looks like no sale occurred.

For a short period time, didn't Ole run a morning show on TBS?

I believe that was during the WWF on TBS era due to viewer demands

Think it started in Oct of 84.

Yes. That was Championship Wrestling from Georgia. It ran on Saturday mornings from August 1984-April 1985. The first few shows were hosted out of a studio from the JCP offices and showed arena matches before moving back into the TBS studio in September. Crockett took over CWG the same weekend as the first Wrestlemania and the last show aired the following week on April 6th. That date also marked Crockett's debut in the 6:05 PM time slot he bought from Vince. The following week on April 13th CWG was replaced by a program simply called Championship Wrestling.

I think Ole was back on WTBS in the morning after only two weeks off the air, but initially there were taped bouts from JCP tapings and then stuff from a studio in Macon before they finally got back into the WTBS studio.

The studio show from Macon was also called Championship Wrestling from Georgia but was a separate program that aired in the Fred Ward markets and maybe elsewhere. It was initially called World Championship Wrestling '84 and debuted the week after Black Saturday on July 21st. CWG debuted on TBS on August 4th and on August 18th the syndicated show also changed its name to CWG.

Sundays starting in March 1985 and ended in May. It was a few weeks behind the Mid-South show that was airing in syndication. Turner was reportedly looking to replace the WWF with Watts and have a financial interest in the promotion until he made the deal with Crockett.

Was this the one on Saturday mornings with heavy doses of Thunderbolt Patterson? I remember Ole and him were a team and then there was a turn, I believe. That was like the only angle for the shows.

Yes. Ole and T'Bolt were National tag team champions. When the JCP merger occurred Ole turned heel and joined up with Arn and they became Nat'l champions by beating T'Bolt and Manny Fernandez.

Yep the full turn didn't happen until WCW started.  The last episode  had Ole doing one of the best Promos talking to Thunderbolt.

One of the most night and day segments you'll ever see.  Ole cuts one of the great promos of all time, while 'Bolt continually interjects with cringe-inducing jibberish.  This right here should tell you why Patterson was full of shit when he claimed on the Morton Downey show that he was kept from being world champion because of his skin color.  No dude, you just sucked.
