The Spurs want 3 1st's, Saric, Flutz for Leonard. Never will happen.

Pop is out of his mind if he thinks he will get anywhere close to that for KL. With each passing day, Pop's leverage goes down. They may have to give him away at the trade deadline for a 2nd rounder or maybe a late 1st. Not Pop's finest moment. He overplayed the hand.

Bret Brown would have been run out of Phily had he given up Saric, Fultz (who better get his shot back) and 3 1st rounders for a 1 year rental.

Does he want to be a Laker or does he just want to move to LA? Theres another team in LA but I can't think of anything they can offer other than a number 1 and those two guys they drafted two weeks ago.

No, he wants to be a Laker.  This is a different type of guy.  Very frugal with his money, doesn't say a lot and keeps to himself.
Sometimes going home is the worst thing a player can do.  Now it worked out for James but sometimes it can get you in trouble as well.

The long-running consensus among Spurs fans is "Pop runs a good team with good people. They're all upstanding individuals. Never any controversy or disgruntled players".

I bring up that they had Dennis Rodman for a spell in the 90's, to which they always respond: "that was only a year and it proves that hot-heads don't fit with Pop's Spurs".

I'm not saying: "ha-ha! Take that Spurs fans" ...just that these fans feel a little blind-sided by Kawhi's recent actions.

I watched Tim Duncan tell Pop to fuck off during a game that was televised on TNT. The announcers ignored it. After a commercial they showed Pop and Duncan on the side, just the two of them talking. I think it is a myth that everything was sunshine and flowers down there.

Pop wasn't the coach when Rodman was there.  Boner Hill was and Rodman hated him and so they traded him.  Pop was an executive and inherited Rodman for 49 games before sending him elsewhere.
