Aleister Balck injured his groin on an NXT house show and had surgery, so he is out of the 3-way main event at Takeover for the NXT title.  All TV has been taped, so unless a last-minute replacement is added during the pre-show, the main event will proceed with just Tomasso Ciampa defending the NXT title against Johnny Gargano, which I think will mark the 3rd Takeover in a row that they've headlined.  This is clearly the feud of the year and I don't think anyone will complain since these guys don't know how to have a bad match against each other, even though NXT tried to add a wrinkle by getting Black involved.  Their first NXT Takeover match is not only the Match of the Year, but maybe the most perfect match I've seen in years.  It's the real 6 star match that Meltzer gave to Omega vs. Okada instead...because Japan.

WWE released the following video of William Regal learning that Aleister Black had been attacked outside of the NXT TV taping

They did a good job on this one. You see Gargano walking threw the door into the building while Regal is going out. Then while Regal is walking to Black you see the ERA in a truck with Cole yelling Go Go. So it a who did it.

With Aleister Black out due to injury, WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa will defend against Johnny Gargano in a Last Man Standing match on 8/18 in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center.
