BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want the best version of that song, listen to this:

Now, I will say this, as one of the biggest Stones fan alive, I still think Otis Redding's version of Satisfaction is THE definitive take on that song. Even Keith agrees on that..

Slash wrote in his autobiography, "If you want to hear the sound of a band breaking up, listen to our cover of 'Sympathy for the Devil'".  At the time, Slash said he can't even listen to the Stones version anymore because that recording session brought back such bad memories.  It was the last song they ever recorded together, and still is since they haven't made new music since reuniting.

The entire album is much-maligned because fans wanted new music and they couldn't get their shit together to write it, so they made The Spaghetti Incident? only to avoid being sued by their record label.

But I love this album more and more with each passing year.  Not only is "Hair of the Dog" phenomenal, but "Human Being" is my favorite GNR song that they will never play live (I don't believe it's ever been played period), and "Raw Power", "Ain't It Fun", "Black Leather", and "Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory" (sung by Duff) are all killer too.

Of course, in their infinite wisdom, some exec made the decision to release "Since I Don't Have You" as the single and make a music video of it to promote the album (back when music videos were important).  It's the worst track on the album by far and the only song that isn't remotely punk that they covered.  It might be the most nails-on-the-chalkboard song that GNR ever recorded.  On top of that, the hidden track of the Charles Manson cover got tons of publicity, and all of this just made the album a laughing stock.  But it's a great, great album.
