Better news than anything that happened last night.  Fuck this guy.  Matthew G. Whitaker takes over.  I have no idea who he is.

Reports that Sessions was fired, as he wrote to Trump "At your request, I am submitting my resignation."

In the last 2 years has Sessions done anything? I'm not kidding, what did he accomplish?

Whitaker wrote an op-ed against the Mueller investigation before Sessions hired him.

Some are saying that Trump is doing this to ultimately protect Don Jr. This could tragically backfire since Mueller has already seemed to make provisions in case of being fired. That is why New York has been involved. They can bring states charges that Trump cannot pardon and the people prosecuting will be safe from Trump as well. It turns out that states attorney's generals are much more powerful than people though even a decade ago.

In the end, to me the whole affair looks like a fustercluck of incompetence. I don't see Trump himself directly involved in any collusion. Clearly, he obstructed justice but I don't think it can be proven that his intent was nefarious or that it reached the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. I think he survives.

Now, those below him are a different story. Roger Stone is toast. Don Jr. is also in deep shit. He clearly lied to Congress (although he didnt testify under Oath or that is what my memory seems to think) but he clearly DID try to coordinate with a foreign gov to effect an election. The fact that he failed miserably at the effort is not relevant. They have him.

This is Trump's reaction to that. It could really blow up in his face. Sr. will make it but Jr. may not be so lucky.

Also Kushner's duel meeting with the Russian embassy with Flynn in toe where he asked if they could make secured calls to Russia from the Russian embassy could prove problematic. However, that happened in DC so the governing body may not have as much power as the one in New York or quite honestly not enough resources to do that job. So, that may save the little Ken doll.

Christ if Hillary had done 10% of the shit these people have done over the past 2.5 years, they would be calling for her hanging. It is funny that they still chant lock her up while old Trump associates are being sentenced and they make up Alex Jones inspired stories of her running a sex ring out of a pizza shop.

These are "special" people.

Inconsolable Jeff Sessions Tries To Commit Suicide By Smoking Joint

WASHINGTON—Following months of bruising criticism from Democrats and President Trump alike, an inconsolable Jeff Sessions was reportedly trying to commit suicide Thursday by smoking a joint. “I swore I’d never take the coward’s way out, but what choice do I have?” said a teary-eyed Sessions, carefully laying a sealed envelope containing his farewell note on a tool bench in his garage as he raised a lighter to the marijuana cigarette with trembling hands. “This is it. I’ve taken four puffs to make sure there’s no chance of survival. It should only be a matter of minutes now. Oh, what a wretched, ignominious ending. Goodbye, cruel world, I’m sorry I’ve failed you so.” At press time, Sessions reportedly realized he had died after being overcome by a euphoric, floating feeling.

Reports are that Sessions will run against Doug Jones in the 20 Sen election. If that is true, he will probably win by at least 15 to 20. If Trump gets reelected it would be interesting to see if he kisses Trump's butt like Graham and Cruz.
