Either from today or the past, everyone loves them and you don't get them at all.

The New Age Outlaws. Take away the catchphrases and they were very, very average. Billy Gunn was always boring, no matter who he teamed with, and Road Dogg was the least of the Armstrongs. Every week, the same old shit. And in the body-centric WWE, how did pasty-white, never seen the inside of the gym Road Dogg get away with looking the way he did?

I second this one, and would like to add The Fantastics.   People loved them, but I never got them.  Bland and boring.  KHawk would disagree as he remembers Tommy Rogers fondly, but still.
The Steiners- I just got tired of them shortly after they got big.  There wasn't anything wrong with them, but I just didn't like them.

Probably going to catch hell for this, but Demolition.  Just never really thought they were fun to watch in the ring- slow, plodding style.  Thought Ax looked like crap during this period, as much as I liked Masked Superstar.  Smash on the mic was awful.

Road Warriors / Legion of doom; they were impressive when I first saw them but as time wore on I liked their work less and less.

Good call on "New Age Outlaws".

Couldn't stand them. Always wanted the Road Warriors and Foley and Funk to beat their asses, but they were booked pretty strong at that time. Just because they had that stupid ring introduction (that never changed).

They are part of the reason my interest in the WWF (and wrestling in general) started to diminish in late 1998 and early'99. Between them and The Rock they seemed to usher in the over-use of stupid catchphrases and crowd participation.

Agree with The Fantastics but only because Bobby Fulton sucked IMO. The pretty boy tag team only works if they both look good, and Fulton looked like a pudgy ghost standing next to Tommy Rogers.

I don't keep a list or anything, but The Fantastics are probably in my top five favorite tag teams.

But I will agree with New Age Outlaws. I liked Road Dogg best when he was The Roadie.

The Executioners - when footage finally surfaced years ago it did not live up to my 12 year old memory of a scary and brutal team - slow and plodding and boring, really - still great to see though!

This. They were boring, Road Warrior rip-offs and they didn't even look the part...the only team that ripped off the Roadies and pulled it off were the Powers of Pain..

Sacrilege!  Blasphemy!

I think this may hold true with The Valiants (‘74-‘75)
