Impact Wrestling sent us the following.  It's a Christmas Miracle!
MPACT Wrestling and Pursuit Channel Announce Broadcast Agreement to Televise IMPACT! Nationally Across the U.S.
IMPACT! to Premiere Weekly on Fridays at 10:00 p.m. ET on Pursuit Channel, Starting on Jan. 11

TORONTO | LUVERNE – IMPACT Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp., announced today it has entered into an agreement to broadcast its flagship weekly two-hour program IMPACT! nationally across the U.S. on Pursuit Channel, the most widely distributed outdoor network and one of the fastest growing channels in the country.

Beginning on Friday, Jan. 11, featuring the aftermath of Homecoming, IMPACT Wrestling’s first marquee pay-per-view event of the year, IMPACT! will air weekly on Pursuit Channel on Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET.

“Pursuit Channel is a natural fit for IMPACT!” said Ed Nordholm, president of IMPACT Wrestling. “It has a passionate viewership base that correlates strongly with our core audience, and is one of the few broadcast destinations that is expanding its footprint, enjoying a 15% increase in broadcast distribution this year alone. With IMPACT Wrestling coming off a tremendous year of audience growth globally and positive fan engagement, we look forward to leveraging our respective resources to bring fans more of the wrestling content they want to see: tougher, edgier action.”

“Pursuit Channel is pleased to welcome IMPACT Wrestling into our Friday night lineup of popular shows,” said Rusty Faulk, CEO and founder of Pursuit Channel. “IMPACT Wrestling programming is perfect for our audience, which enjoys adventurous content to feed their wild side. We look forward to a long partnership and providing our fans with new and exciting world-class content while expanding IMPACT Wrestling’s audience to a new base.”

Showcasing top professional wrestling stars such as IMPACT World Champion Johnny Impact, who starred in the most recent season of the hit CBS show Survivor, plus Brian Cage, Eli Drake, Moose, Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan, Pentagon Jr., Fenix, Rich Swann, the high-flying X-Division and the Knockouts, including Champion Tessa Blanchard, Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Allie and Su Yung, IMPACT! has been a leading destination for professional wrestling fans, televised globally in 120 countries since its inception in 2002, while growing its popularity and reach on YouTube, Twitch, Pluto and social media platforms.

A channel I've never heard of that I might not get on FIOS and they're still stuck at 10:00 PM but now on Fridays.  This is the equivalent of no longer having TV.  Impact has gotten much better from an in-ring standpoint, but they really, really need to throw in the towel here.  There are nearly a dozen minor promotions that have about the same or better TV coverage.  Certainly MLW now joins the list of companies that surpass them.

Several sources within Impact Wrestling have painted today's announced move to The Pursuit Channel as a positive, citing that financially, it will be a step forward for the company and noting that the network, which is built around men's outdoors programming, including fishing and hunting shows, are extremely happy to have Impact coming on board. Anthem Media, which owns Impact Wrestling, is a partner in the Pursuit Network, so one would think they would have a vested interest in pushing the product.

The problem is that it will be pushed to a MUCH smaller, limited audience as several major cable providers, including Comcast, don't carry Pursuit while others, such as Verizon Fios, only have it as part of a paid tier, so those who want to watch the show will have to pay more for it. You can find out whether you get Pursuit by clicking here.

There is no word yet as to whether Impact will release the episodes on Twitch or YouTube to make them available for those who cannot get the series another way. The Pursuit Channel does have a Roku channel, Pursuit Up, but does not live stream content there.

Impact had spoken with a number of cable outlets about potentially shifting there, but the fact that they were unable to score a deal anywhere other than a network that their parent company has a vested interest in doesn't speak well for how those conversations went. It's always possible the series was moved to Pursuit as a placeholder location while discussions with a larger, stronger platform continue, but if that's the case, we haven't heard that. With the limited scope that Pursuit has, something even more limited than Pop or Destination America, one would think it's going to be even harder for Impact to score sponsors and advertisers.

Impact sources had nothing but positive things to say about Pop on the way out, noting that they went from a barter deal on advertising to getting paid a fee by the network (believed to be worth $1 million per year) on top of the ad split (which sources have claimed brought another $1-2 million per year) and that everyone at the network went out of their way to work with them. With the exception of the most recent time change move coming out before Impact would have preferred, no one I spoke to had any complaints about Pop. I know that in the past Pop Network President Bradley Schwartz had been very excited about having Impact on, but there are a lot of changes in terms of how the channel will be branded going into 2019 and Impact, for what they were delivering in terms of an audience, wasn't going to be factored into those plans.

Impact will debut on Pursuit HD on 1/11 with material filmed on 1/7/19 at the Nashville Fairgrounds Arena aka the TNA Asylum, coming out of the 1/6/19 Homecoming PPV. It will be the company's third new home on cable since departing the now-defunct SpikeTV in 2014.

Pursuit was launced in 2008, initially as a DirecTV exclusive channel. A press release issued by the network in June 2018 touted that the network had seven million unique viewers in March 2018.

PWInsider:

As of this afternoon, Pursuit HD has yet to publicly acknowledge Impact Wrestling is moving to their network. Seriously? No matter how positive anyone wants to claim this move is, it's obvious this was a stop-gap move made out of desperate necessity.

I recently ran across PlutoTV which is a free TV service on my Firestick. It has an Impact Wrestling Channel which shows all the old weekly PPVs and the regualr PPVs. They also have a AAA Channel which show AAA shows 24 hours a day.

PlutoTV also has movies and a bunch of other channels. Totally Free.

I have Pluto through my TV's as a built in App. The AAA channel 218 is pretty new. The Impact one has been on there for a while. It's a pretty good setup. Tons of channels on a free streaming service.

Is the Impact Wrestling channel free? I'm asking because I have Pluto TV and don't want to add the channel if it costs money because I don't think TNA is worth paying for anymore.

I will have to try the app. On FIOS it’s not part of the standard package.

Never saw it on FiOS but we just got a Roku a few days ago because even though we have FiOS, we subscribed to Hulu for .99 per month on Black Friday for a year. I'm keeping track of how much we watch FiOS vs Hulu because our contract is up next year and I'm thinking about dumping TV or at bare minimum lowering the package to something different.

First time I found the AAA channel they were playing the first Triplemania card from 1993 or so. Main Event was the Konnan vs. somebody retirement match. Konnan was insanely over. People crying in the crowd when he lost and "retired".

Since then, the shows have been mostly from around 2003 or 2004. I enjoy the flippy floppy shit from time to time so I will throw it on the background while doing something else.

I’ll need to check that AAA channel out; 93/94 era AAA was badass.

That's some good news for them as I don't know anyone that has Pursuit in their basic cable package. They will get more views on Twitch than Pursuit, but this essentially makes them a company with only a streaming presence.  They are virtually off of TV for all intents and purposes.  With ROH, MLW, NJPW, and most likely soon AEW all winding up with better TV presences, that really shows you where Impact is in the pecking order at this point.

The show will feature the immediate aftermath from Homecoming in Nashville, IMPACT Wrestling’s first major pay-per-view event of the year.

“IMPACT Wrestling’s new broadcast arrangement on Pursuit Channel has given us the flexibility to develop distribution channels to bring our show to the cord cutters in our fan base,” said Ed Nordholm, president of IMPACT Wrestling. “We saw double digit growth in our digital audience in 2018, consistently setting and then breaking new records for engagement across our various digital and social media assets. Since initially partnering with Twitch last year with our own channel, we have been committed to expanding our presence and creating a dedicated community on the platform and fans have responded, leading to our decision to bring our flagship show to Twitch.”

I watched the final Impact on POP and the new network announcement was nothing short of a disaster.  The show was recorded 16 years ago so at 3 points in the show they inserted a brief voice-over saying that next week they would be on Pursuit.  That was in.  They didn't provide a website to check for channel availability in your area or anything.  They never explained what "Pursuit" even was.  They didn't have the Twitch deal ironed out yet so there was no mention of a streaming alternative.  If your primary means of watching Impact is on TV and you're not on wrestling websites, you have no idea how to watch the show going forward, and some likely will just give it up when they see that it doesn't record on their DVR as usual.  If I was Impact, I would've been busting the budget to re-do that taped episode and get some real information out there given that this is the entire future of the company we're talking about here and they have to know it's going to get ugly.

PWInsider with notes from the first Impact TV tapings of the Pursuit era:

Scott Steiner, Bram, Crazzy Steve, Crimson and Jax Dane all worked last night's Impact Wrestling taping.  Steiner will return to Impact Wrestling TV this week.

Steve worked what was going to be an Xplosion match but instead ended up as a dark match that was sent to the ring when there were power issues at the taping to kill time while Impact was getting back-up generators going.  No word what caused the power issue but the emergency lights in the Nashville Fairgrounds Arena came up during the problem.  The general consensus was that the company was lucky that didn't happen during the Homecoming PPV the night before.

Bram, Crimson and Dane worked a match taped for a future episode of Xplosion with Bram teaming with Caleb Konley against the War Kings.

For those of you (like myself) who have Verizon Fios, their cable guide listing does not list Impact Wrestling as airing on The Pursuit Channel this Friday.  Until that is resolved, you'll have to manually record the series yourself by recording that block of time.  The series is not listed for next week, either, as of this writing.

Andy Douglas, who wrestled for the company as one half of the Naturals, was backstage.  He's now retired as a pro wrestler and is working full-time as a chiropractor and was working on some of the talents.

Chris Harris was backstage again.

Ed Nordholm, the President of Impact Wrestling parent company Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC gave a speech to the Impact Wrestling roster backstage before last night's Impact Wrestling taping in Nashville, TN.

According to several sources we spoke to, it was very much a positive speech with Nordholm noting the company accomplished what they wanted to set out to do in 2018. Nordholm told the roster 2017 was a "learning year" after Anthem took over the company and that 2018 was about getting them in position for the future. He said that everyone is optimistic and enthusiastic for what is to come in 2019.

During his address to the roster, Nordholm put over there has been growth of the Fight Network (which Anthem owns) internationally and that Impact has and will continue to be a big part of that.

Nordholm also addressed the company’s move to The Pursuit Channel, noting that one of the reasons Anthem took over the company was so that they could have it for their own assets and Pursuit is one of those assets. With the deal at Pop ending, Impact now has the digital rights to the Impact Wrestling series again, which is why they can also simulcast it on Twitch on Fridays.

During the meeting, Nordholm took questions from the roster and specifically addressed that there were some rumblings last year that Anthem was looking to sell the company, assuring everyone that is not the case and that they shouldn’t be worried about anything along those lines.

The next planned Impact PPV will be in April, although the exact date has not been locked in. Traditionally, that has been Lockdown, but we are told that is not 100% set in stone.

Can you watch Impact on Twitch on-demand or you have to watch it “live” on Friday at 10? Because for the life of me I can’t figure out how to watch this even though I’m on Impact’s channel.  I gave up and found a bootleg online.

I think you can only watch it on Twitch for 24 hrs then it is taken off.
