Bears-Vikings opened at -6.5 which seems overly generous to the Vikes. The line has fallen to -4.5 due to money landing on the Bears due to that initial line.

I believe that the media circulates a 'myth' every week 17 of every year. This team needs this game, this team doesn't. They're gonna KILL em.

Never works that way.

Side stupid thing. Eagles need the game. Redskins 'out of it'. Philly and Washington not far apart.

I fully expect E-A-G-L-E-S chants at a Redskins home game.

Dallas is hosting a wildcard game next week no matter what happens vs the Giants.

Why play anybody?

BYE WEEK for the starters if I was coaching

My bookie laughed at all the guys that took Green Bay (-7.5) and teased them down to (-1.5)

Bears 17 Vikings 3 at the half

Where the hell is Tamalie to break this down for us? Nowhere to be found. Of course.

Let me break it down. Vikings suck. Cousins an average QB and not good in big games. Way overpaid.

This is my least favorite NFL season ever. 38 years. My teams were all out of it by week 4. At least there was little anthem & CrappyNick talk though.

Cousins definitely suck. Mine are both in prison!

Oh, you mean Kurt, or Kirk, whatever his F'N name is? Yeah, he sucks too.

I hope the playoffs are better than the horrible regular season.

The Vikings looked very much Lions-like in that collapse yesterday. I see now the comparisons of Cousins to Stafford, but at least we got some impassioned sidelines shots of Cousins making his points to his teammates. If it were Stafford, all we'd get is an "aw shucks".

Lions lost about 4-5 draft positions with that needless win yesterday!

Happy New Year to everyone on the board!!!

The lions problem is they don't surround the qb with any talent. I can't even name a rb who ran for over a 1000 yds for them since Barry Sanders retired. Megatron retired, Tate and Ebron were traded. Who Does Stafford throw to?

In other news the Raiders hired NFL analysis Mike Mayock as their GM. I can see the Raiders hiring Al Michaels as their defensive coordinator later in the week. Haha

Vikings fans and the local media are in various points of the seven stages of grief. My take is this season is an absolute disappointment for which the blame squarely falls on Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman for trying to protect their $84,000,000 quarterback with an offensive line that's not worth $84.

Naturally there is a lot of heat coming down on Kirk Cousins, but what else were the Vikes supposed to do? Case Keenum was a one hit wonder. What other good QB was on the market last year and what will this upcoming offseason? Statistically he did fine, but he got sacked the second most times in his career and got probably the most hurries in his career. The offensive line was an embarrassment and skimping on it cost the team big.

That said, I thought the local talk of Super Bowl hopes was ridiculous. My prediction was 11-5. Flip the regrettable tie with Green Bay and the inexplicable Bills fiasco and the record would be 10-6 and they'd be in the playoffs. I get that people around here are down, but you'd think they finished 3-13 to hear some people on the call in shows.

The 2019 schedule is very tough for the Vikes. However, I think that if the offensive line and defensive backfield are shorn up, there is plenty of reason to make the playoffs a goal next season.

Home: Bears, Lions, Packers, Eagles, Redskins, Falcons, Broncos, Raiders

Away: Bears, Lions, Packers, Cowboys, Giants, Seahawks, Chargers, Chiefs

That 2019 road schedule has some places on it that are historically tough to win.

I guess its easy to point to the 'Bills game' and its easy to point to Cousins. Actually I guess the offensive coordinator took the blame already.

Only one team in the division had a good year (Chicago)

The Vikings should have made it.
