Historically at least this is 'blowout round'. Not so much the past few years though.

Indy at Kansas City (5.5)
Dallas at Rams (7)
Chargers at New England (4)
Philly at New Orleans (8)

Thought about the Chargers but the weather looks bad for Sunday.

The Chefs' terrible home-field playoff record history (especially when they win the division) is the only thing that makes me want to give the Colts a chance. Elvis Grabass running out of breath and throwing an incompletion into the end zone in the '97 playoffs is still one of my favorite All-Time Chefs Moments.

That said, Patrick Mahomes is unlike any Chefs player I've ever seen, so I expect him to break this "curse" and get the win. So yeah, I'm just picking the favorites.

3 games where a home team is off a bye and the road team is coming up on their third straight road game

New Orleans vs Philly
New England vs Chargers
KC vs Indy

That could go either way.  In NO's case, they also rested all of the starters in the last game of the year.  That could prove to be a big advantage or not.  I tend to lean towards it being advantageous since health is an important factor.  NO is definitely the favorite.  No doubt.

My picks are:

KC
LAR
LAC
NO

I'm too much of a wuss to say if any team will cover vs the spread.

haters betting against New England at home in a January playoff with only a 4-point spread - not very bright

Pats were two fluke losses away from a 13-3 record and top seed in the AFC despite having "less talent than everyone else"

and they are arguably the healthiest team left playing

yes SD is 8-1 on the road - but playoff games at Gillette Stadium against Belichick and Brady are an entirely different experience as SD is about to find out (again)

I am picking them and as long as the Pats have TB, they can never be counted out.  Still, Gronk is clearly hurting and I think headed towards retirement.  This could be the last gasp but as long as they play in the AFC East, they always seem to have gimme games.

Well not much of a contest this afternoon. Indy couldn't get any offence going really, and the game was never close after the first 10 minutes. Would prefer to see the Chargers win tomorrow as it's supposed to be @ 22 degrees next Sunday in KC and that works better for the Chiefs against Rivers.

NBC just played GN'Rs Mr. Brownstone going to the 2:00 warning. I doubt anybody in charge has a clue what that song is about, obviously.

Boring NFL Divisional round today.

Went 1-1.

I honestly feel bad for Alshon Jeffery. He knew he screwed up and cost his team a chance to win the game and had tears in his eyes.

Looks like NO vs. NE in the Bowl.

Alshon won a Super Bowl last season, I'm sure he is fine.
