My wife is heading there on Friday for work for a week. Anything of note to do in the area?

If this is a serious question then a serious answer would be “Kill yourself”.

Unfotunately it's serious. She is working at Robert Johnson Medical Centre in New Brunswick.

If she wants to hear some live music she can take a drive to Sayresville to go the Starland Ballroom. That’s the venue where Jon Bon Jovi met Richie Sambora and they should have someone playing every night. That’s the closest point of interest I can think of even remotely close to that shithole.

Too bad it's not summertime, in West Orange, where a diner visit to Jimmy Buff's for an Italian Hot Dog is a nice treat, and speaking of Edison, the Thomas Edison museum is also very interesting, at least I thought so.

But this was last summer when I went to NJ/NY, hopefully some of our other wowbb members can offer a wintertime suggestion.

I went to the Thomas Edison Museum a few years ago and I enjoyed it too.

Travel south about an hour and you can go bar hopping in the shore area. Weather is going to be shitty though.

About 2 hours south and you can go to Atlantic City.

Otherwise, take the train into NYC.

Fyi, I live about 40 min south of Edison.

In other words, the best thing to do in the area is to get out of the area.

The thing that sucks so much about being there on business is that you really aren't close enough to NYC or to Philly, you're right in the middle where travelling to either is a hassle, so you're pretty much stuck there.
