Six months of chemo and he has all of his hair

He's 'Joe' and not Roman Reigns when he talks

The timing of it all. Wrestlemania approaches.

Basially was used to 'pop a rating' Monday night

In believe in reality, his time off was used to film a part in Hobbs & Shaw and not undergo treatment

Have I been worked so much that I'm jaded?

My wife said the same thing, almost word for word.  Now I know where she's been disappearing to every day....

The biggest flaw in this theory is that Reigns is a pretty shitty actor so he couldn't pull off having leukemia if he didn't. And the ramifications if people found out would dwarf any positives to the degree that it could cost the company billions in the age we live in where outage balloons on social media overnight. And I don't really see any positives anyway. The rating will maybe go up .2 for one night and they were without the only thing resembling a draw for almost 6 months as all those other ratings tanked.  The biggest plus that will come out of this is that it will be hard to boo Reigns for a while, but that too will pass if he has a couple of bad matches.

Seems too high-risk/low reward to be an angle. And like Rossi said, the blowback on this would be epic.

I made this same observation on Facebook last night and was told it's disgusting to suggest it's a work.

I'd love to see the reactions in the social media/publicly owned company world that WWE now exists in to a good old-fashioned heart attack angle.  It wasn't long ago that Russo booked a Flair heart attack that fooled some people in the back.  Can you imagine on Raw if they got nuclear heat on Batista by having Flair fake a heart attack during that beat-down.  And if it was a really good angle that actually worked the boys and made Bleacher Report and Rolling Stone report it as real news on Facebook.  I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that even for something like that which was done several times over the years, the future of the company would be in jeopardy if they did it today.  I could see FOX and USA dropping them. They could be untouchable to any network outside of the ones Impact are on, and I could even see the SEC getting involved.

I'm not gonna lie, the second he walked out Monday night and he looked exactly the same, no weight loss, nothing, I thought the exact same thing..usually if your cancer comes back you have to go through some serious shit to get to remission again and it usually doesn't happen that fast..

When I had my Chemo, my hair didn't fall out and I only lost 2 lbs. It depends on the treatment tbh. You could be fine enough to live a normal as life as possible while undergoing treatments. It depends on what type of Leukemia he had. He could still workout, as long as the treatments allowed him to. He did look smaller in his upper body and I can guarantee that his stamina isn't even close to be where it needs to be to get into the ring for a full match.

Every other fictional TV show would have no problem with a character having cancer. Don't see why WWE should be held to a different standard. Fans complaining they got worked would be the ultimate irony for wrestling, and wrestling should just pack it's bags and go home if it isn't allowed to work the fans anymore.

Not saying Roman didn't have leukemia, but his discovery does seem rather miraculous.

Hasty generalizations look awful on you anyway, beej. You have John Stossel's voice and Edna Kravitz's nose.

No way WWE works something like this in this era or any other. You don't fake cancer. Too taboo.

Were you upset when Tom Hanks worked the AIDS in Philadelphia?

They'd have to adhere to script permanently until everyone who knew truth dies. Highly unlikely
