Sometime around 1989, give or take a year, HBO did this documentary on three guys living in New York City.  They were all drug users/petty criminals who lived in squalor.  I remember that one of them was named Mike McGrath.  There were so many classic moments on this show that my friends and I quoted.  The best might have been when they shoplifted a shop vac from a cut-rate department store with the intention of selling it for drugs and the undercover cameraman says, "I can't believe you just walked out with that!"  One of the guys replies.  "It was collecting dust... so we collected it!"

I'd love to see it again, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.  Does anyone have an idea?

Isn't Mike McGrath the lead singer of some shitty '90s band?

That's Mark McGrath from Matchbox 20. Kid Rock gets more ass than him.

Mark McGrath was in Sugar Ray. The Kid Rock getting more ass par is correct.

Well if he's a petty criminal living in squalor even Kid Rock has to be a slightly better catch than that.
