A nor’easter is heading to the east coast next weekend, bringing driving rain and dangerously heavy winds to NY and NJ. The temperature is expected to be mid 50s right now but surrounding areas could see snow. There’s still enough time for the forecast to change 10 times, but I wonder what the backup plan is. I’m thinking there is none.  The worst of it is expected Friday and Saturday at least, but commuting to the side events could be effected.

WWE doesn't give a flip about other events outside of Axxxxxxxxxsess,

There is no backup plan.  I'm sure they have a canopy over the ring, but this could be a nightmare scenario for the fans and the visual of the event.
If anyone's ever seen one of the first WWE DVDs ever produced (Hulk Still Rules) there is a match from an outdoor stadium show in Puerto Rico between Hulk and Studd that gets hit with a monsoon.  They had to take it home quickly, but both guys were slipping all over the mat, and the crowd was soaked and trying to hide under plastic.

Glad I’m skipping this one. Looking forward to Tampa next year.

Vast improvement in the last 24 hours.  Friday is supposed to be the only really bad day now with heavy wind and rains (and it'll only be 47), but then the storm blows out.  The weekend now looks good, partly cloudy and temperatures in the low 60s, before we get rain again on Monday.  They probably have dodged a bullet, but one year it's going to bite them.  WM might be a rain or shine event, but there are two conditions in which the venues will not allow the show to go on: lightning and heavy wind.  Too much liability.  Cheap Trick almost died in conditions like that about 10 years ago when rigging and staging was blown over.

There was some light rain at WM24 in Orlando during the preshow and the opening PPV bout with JBL vs. Fit Finlay. It never got past the drizzle stage although during the MITB match the sky looked pretty threatening.

Has Cheap Trick ever wrestled a 8* match? Hell no the haven't. Fight forever, fight forever.
