As we reported earlier today, fans exiting Wrestlemania 35 expecting New Jersey Transit trains to be available as advertised every ten minutes instead found themselves battling long lines, a downpour of rain and insane surge prices for Uber and other car services.

PWInsider.com reader Jaysen Bowman sent the following to PWInsider.com about the situation: "I can confirm that story. I waited nearly 2 hours in line, in the rain, to be boarded all the while staff members were taking pictures of the lines and even made smart ass comments about “good luck getting home before 4 AM. NJ Transit really dropped the ball. Fans were wet and angry and tired."

With NJ Transit getting the brunt of complaints, they have decided to do what often happens in professional wrestling: they turned on their partner and blamed WWE. It was WWE's fault, according to a statement issued to NJ.com earlier today:

"The primary factor contributing to the post-event delays was the WWE’s decision to extend the event to 12:30 a.m., which had significant operational impacts on the evening. NJ Transit was not informed of this decision until late last night," Jim Smith, a spokesman, said. “The decision to extend this event resulted in our inability to operate some of those trains due to federal requirements limiting train crew hours."

Federal regulations prevented New Jersey Transit staff from working overtime so that the advertised, promised trains could run. Instead, three train crews were forced to go home and without them, no additional trains could operate. Instead of trains every 15 minutes, fans were left twisting in the wind (and in this case, rain as well.)

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy commented on the transit issues this morning during a scheduled press conference. When asked about the post-Mania melee, commenting, "At the end of the day, if folks are frustrated, they ought to be. I would have been crazed. It’s completely and utterly ‘dog-ate-my-homework’ unacceptable. We’re fixing it. We’re gonna learn from this. I’ll be damned if it happens again.”

PWInsider reached out to WWE this afternoon about the situation and received the following statement: “We regret any inconveniences fans may have experienced with mass transportation after the event.”

Wrestlemania 35 started at 5 PM and did not go off the air until after midnight, making it one of the longest events in WWE history.

I don't know what was communicated to NJ Transit, but this event was scheduled on WWE Network to go off at 12:30 AM and they hit that almost on the dot. Every fan and every wrestling media outlet expected a similar end time. I told my wife the day before that it was ending at 12:30 to set her expectations of not seeing me for the forseeable future. Maybe Phil Murphy should have asked a smark for their expert guidance.

My biggest complaint on the matches I did watch last night was the completely transparent booking where you definitely knew who was going to win right from the bell. This one however, was a fantastic back and forth battle. Even if Kofi had lost, it would have been completely believable. The in-ring celebration with New Day was heartfelt and not overdone. Daniel Bryan's ring generalship is world class elite level. I hope Kofi enjoys his one day title reign.

Bryan can have a 4 star match with Dave Meltzer. He's that good.

Other than the times when he gets the shit kicked out of him by guys twice his size, I think *everything* Bryan Danielson is believable.  His offense looks real and his selling is upper level.  He's great on the mic and in every PPV he takes shots that leave welts, bruises, scratches, and scrapes on his clear skin complexion.  And while I am very happy that Kofi broke through the glass ceiling the way I thought he was going to when he feuded with Orton over the IC title an unbelievable TEN YEARS AGO, when I saw him mid-ring I said to myself "damn, he's scrawny".

It was noted earlier in the thread that the WWE went overboard in the minds of some with showing shots of the NYC skyline and other landmarks. However, I thought it was fine. The HOF and NXT were at Barclays Center. Lots of fans stayed in NYC proper. Plus, the Meadowlands is part of metro New York City and is far closer to midtown Manhattan than the Allstate Arena is to the Loop and Magnificent Mile in the heart of Chicago and there is little noise made when the WWE goes to there and puts over Chicago big time. New York City was part of the atmosphere and theme of the event. To be that close and not promote it would be nuts.

Next year's WrestleMania preshow will run the entire month of March..
The main show will run April & May.Rumored to be 700 matches, with 50 titles defended.
There will be a 100 man battle Royale as well as two fatal 20 ways.
Yeah ok, I'm tired today.

Ok James Earl Ray, so the POC is the "scrawny" one while your precious white man, who is exactly the same size, cuts a strong and powerful presence. I assume your ideal way of taking the title off Kofi would be five guys in white hoods give him a beat down mid-ring, and then Kenny Omega pops the crowd huge by coming into the ring dressed as his new character Office WHITE, and then shoots Kofi in the back while he has his hands up.

You disgust me.

I haven't watched any WWE for a long while now and only follow what happens by reading the message boards and Meltzer. The girlfriend (who isn't a wrestling fan at all) and myself decided to watch WM last night. I have to say we both really enjoyed the show and were into every match...although I jumped in the shower during the women's tag title match that had Tamina and Nia Jax in it.

Like everyone else, our biggest complaint was the length of the show. It sucked to see how out of it and quiet the crowd was during the last third or so of the show.

It is just too long, no matter what time you start and end it. I really do not like this whole "get everyone on the roster on the show in some way" approach WWE has done for a long while now. WrestleMania is the "Super Bowl" of wrestling....Not everyone in the NFL plays in the super bowl every year and not everyone in the WWE should be on the WM card every year.

WM should just have six or seven matches with the hottest wrestlers in the hottest angles taking part. Jabronis should not be wrestling on this card.

The battle royal should be scraped. It doesn't mean anything. It is just there to get more talent that no body cares about on the big show. I'm not saying to not have any battle royals in the future, if they can find a compelling reason to have one.

Wrestlemania is special, so shouldn't it only have special wrestlers and special matches on it?

Only if it were held in Japan..if it were here in the states Meltzer would dock his own match a star..

But I think the only title match after this is the Women in a 3 way. Would love to see Alexa and Liv in a 3 way but I’d have to go to Wong’s house and hope he could find it on Pornhub. By the way, the pics of Alexa Bliss getting deep dicked are pretty nice if you ask me.
What Alexa pics?
Yeah that is what i am asking.

I am trying to watch 'RAW' tonight for the first time in forever.

The show really is awful nowadays. The wrestlers get out in the ring and just read off their scripted lines and basically drag saying absolutely nothing out for minute upon minute. This, "sports entertainment", or whatever it is has no similarity to the "pro wrestling" I grew up loving.

Then they go to commercials and when they come back, they spent a couple minutes recaping the nonsense we just finished watching. And they are so desperate to be "mainstream entertainment" they continuously throw up graphics and bumpers proclaiming that they are the number one trending topic on twitter. Who fucking cares.

Lastly in this rant I have to mention the crowd. They are so cringe to listen to. "You deserve it"...."This is awesome"...UGH...Makes me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan.

The camera thing really bothers me; I think I’d probably like the product 20% more if the camera didn’t do all of the zooming. What exactly is the point? Is it supposed to make everything feel devastating (I’m assuming so)?
