I've never been so happy for a team like Columbus for sweeping TB out of the playoffs.   Their first series win in franchise history!
And I also say sayonara to Sydney Crosby and those Penguins!!
Of course my nhl bracket is busted, but who cares!  I think this playoff season just got a whole lot more exciting.

Washington's chances of making it back to the finals just went up exponentially.
Boston/Toronto could go either way.
In the West it's likely Vegas is moving in. After that, anybody's guess.
My Jets pulled on out last night and are back even with the Blues. A home team will win eventually. If the Jets do in game 5 on Thursday that would likely lead to a series win even if it went 7.
Nashville probably holds off Dallas. Colorado might get by the Flames since Mike Smith really sucks ass.

I had the Isles in 7..... And the Lightning in 4. Plus side, the lightning getting swept shuts up Ryan Lambert for a bit

My cousin played a couple seasons in Columbus and re-settled in the area after he retired. Good to see them finally have a bit of success.

I am not much of an NHL fan these days. Can someone explain what happened with the Lightning to get swept out like that? Was Columbus hot or did Tampa Bay have injuries or some other issues that pulled them down?

My guess is when Victor Hedman went down after game 2 that was a big blow to TB.   The relentless Columbus forecheck I think did him in.
Did anyone else see Hedman's jaw jacking at the Blue Jacket's bench after game 2?  He was predicting Columbus was going to implode like last year (HA! They didn't).

LOL just glad to see them gone!!!
I think Washington (if they get by Carolina) will have their hands full with ex-coach Trotz leading the NYIslanders.
