I've given up on the WWE Network for now. I really wasn't watching much anymore. I've seen the entire run of ECW. I wanted to watch the WCW to the end, but it's taking too long and I'm not enjoying it at all. I can't really watch the main roster because I don't have any good way to watch Raw or SmackDown. Yeah there's good wrestling on NXT, but there's good wrestling everywhere. So, I'm going to give my wrestling ten bucks to someone else for a while. What's good at the moment?

I don't use Facebook anymore. I've thought about New Japan, does it have angles at all, or is it just good wrestling. Also, as hard as I have tried, I need English commentary. I can't get the weekly show you guys get in the US, so I'd be stuck with their streaming service. Isn't All Japan just an indie now?

I watch a fair amount of the ROH streaming service and enjoy it. I think the AJPW streaming service is just new stuff I believe all of the old stuff is own by NTV or some other channel.

New Japan has angles, but they're much more subtle than in the U.S. There's not going to be anything too involved, it's all much more based on competition, chasing titles, mentor-student, and losing 16 times to an opponent before finally winning. I like it just fine. The Bullet Club stuff has basically died down to nothing with The Elite leaving, so they're searching for the next big thing. But Okada, Naito, and Ibushi are on fire right now. And yes, AJPW is basically an indy, and not a great one at that. I've seen a couple of shows on FITE TV and it's not probably not fair to judge without more context (and with Japanese commentary) but I had trouble getting through it. I just don't see their guys as having as much talent as NJPW, and a lot of their gaijins aren't exactly physical specimens. Joe Doering has been a top guy there for years, in between a failed NXT stint, so...Zeus and The Bodyguard are big acts for them and do nothing for me (and no one that small should call themselves those names). PlutoTV is a free app. They have a classic TNA channel that plays old PPVs and old weekly shows. I think they also show ROH and one of the Mexican feds maybe?

I had never seen most of the guys either. The opener between Rodderick Strong vs. Matt Riddle was a Pillman vs. Liger type curtain jurker match, it was that good. It was followed by a four way ladder match that was better than the main roster could possibly do based on Vince's restrictions. The card slightly tapered off overall afterwords, but it was a great show. Much better in ring work than ROH, most of MLW, and all of the WWE main roster except DB, AJ, or Joe. I watched the Super Junior show, and it was really good. The commentary is horrible, though. I always thought Kevin Kelly sucked, and he sounds so unenthusiastic, like he knows wrestling commentary is the best job he can get, but he doesn't like wrestling. I've listened to him on podcasts talking about behind-the-scenes WWF stuff, and he comes across as a complete tool. Even he is better than the Australian guy and the English guy who are with him, though. Is Mauro Ranallo the only good wrestling commentator today?

I thought Kelly was great in ROH but has regressed since. Ian Riccaboni with ROH has become very good. Despite being WWE-ized and seeming like a legit prick, Corey Graves is very good. Nigel McGuinness is too. Jim Cornette is fucking killing it in MLW, and this is coming from someone who generally hates 90% of his opinions on podcasts. That’s pretty much it for decent commentators right now not named Mauro Ranallo.

Can anyone recommend any good stiff matches that are on the WWE Network? Thinking along the lines of like the Cactus Jack/Vader matches... any ideas?

I watched Dominion, and Don Callis is a huge improvement on the other two dorks.
