Thinking of getting a soundbar for my room for movies and games and wondering if anyone here has any experience with it (good or bad)? I'm just tired of all the wires that I currently have running throughout my room.
Any thoughts?

I have a soundbar under my Samsung TV in my living room. The sound is pretty nice. Problem for me is every now and then the woofer box gets this static-y sound and I need to turn the box off and wait before turning it back on again.

soundbars are great and even necessary depending on your TV - but wireless/bluetooth subwoofers SUCK and usually stop working after awhile

We just bought a 55" 4K OLED TV and was looking at soundbars and we were told by the salesman to stay away from them and just use our Bose speakers until we want to get a new set-up. Soundbars are a waste of money.

This - especially if you buy a Sharp ROKU Smart TV. These TVs are designed so that the TV speaker points down thus sending the sound into the TV stand / floor instead of forward to the audience. Sometimes even maxing the volume doesn't help to decipher what is being said on the TV. I am convinced that this poor design is intentional so that ROKU can upsell you on their proprietary wireless speakers (which run about $200).  I ended up buying the ROKU wireless speakers since I wasn't certain about soundbar compatability with other manufacturers and they have been a good purchase. I just think the design issue is kinda shady.

We have one and it seems to be functioning just fine and seems like it was a decent purchase.
