The Brodie Lee segment mocking Vince was as great as anything AEW has ever done, and according to Meltzer, it really bothered Vince a lot, which makes it even better.

Wonder on who's idea it was to do that segment?

AEW wins again but it was much closer than last week when NXT was completely taped, 819,000 to 669,000.

Incredible, because NXT really blows right now. That Full Sail crowd deserve to be paid for how they make that show so much better.

We had two different women crying their eyes out because of an injury within 60 seconds. Who is writing this bullshit?

They introduced a new tag team, with a new manager, who says "allow me to introduce you to the future of the NXT tag team division." Then..... segment ends. Who are they??? Even was the commentators referring to these two complete unknowns as superstars. When everyone is a superstar, no one is a superstars.

The crying really stood out to me too.  I immediately thought, "Way to make your females look strong when every time one of them gets hurt they have a  complete breakdown.  Who can take them seriously now?  They would never have any of the men crying over an injury."  In the first case with the broken nose, that was a legit injury and I think real backstage footage.  Her crying about just wanting to go home was pathetic, and probably real, and never should've been aired.  The second one was obviously 100% work.  The fact that I can't tell you the names of either chick is another issue.  The NXT roster has gotten too big with some talent that you don't see for months, and can't possibly relate to.

The new manager Malcolm Bivens is Stokely Hathaway from ROH and EVOLVE.  He will do well if given the opportunity.  No idea who the tag team is.

I know who they are, but I had to look it up. When you say "allow me to present..." you should at least give the guys names.

The broken nose woman was Aliyah, who they have been trying to bet over since day one of NXT, and she is just about a passable JTTS now. The Chinese one who was crying like a 5 year old who has fallen over in the school yard is Mia Yim, who I think is pretty decent. She's the one who gets to enter the Royal Rumble because she is the only passable Chinese worker they have.

She's not Chinese, she's half-Korean. I tend to go by the method that the hotter an Asian woman is, the more likely it is that she's Korean.

I know Mia Yim and I didn’t think that was her. She looked different.

That makes more sense.  I'm just going to assume that Kriss is racist and thinks all Asian people look a like.

Haha. I completely meant Xia Le. No idea why I typed Mia Yim. I guess I am racist.

AEW will hold an 8-man tournament starting this week to crown the first TNT champion. It’s an interesting way to keep interest during the empty arena shows and I’ll be curious if they keep the title going long after the crisis is over.

It would be cool to introduce a "Beat the Champ" style title that has to be defended every week. AEW doesn't suffer from meaningless matches nearly as much as NXT does, but it's an easy way to fill 15 minutes every week.

The undisclosed location that AEW taped from this week was QT Marshall's gym/wrestling school in Norcross, Georgia. They taped all day Tuesday and Wednesday and have enough footage to last until mid-May. Apparently the police showed up, but AEW were following all the regulations and restrictions at the time. Since then, Georgia has announced a shelter-at-home policy, so if they want to go live next week, they would need to find somewhere else.

I have a feeling that they already taped stuff like the new title tournament, and the empty arena match announced for two weeks time.

On a side note, I thought this week's show was poor by AEW standards. The matches meant nothing whatsoever, the only thing worth watching really was the Jericho/Vanguard 1 skit and the Brodie Lee skit. The wrestling was good as usual, but as I've said before, good wrestling is standard today. Some people loved Omega/Trent but didn't think it was anything special, just good wrestling.

Well that explains how QT Marshall of all people is getting TV time but guys like Janela, Sabian, etc. can't.  He has to be the most bizarre member of that roster.  Just totally out of place.  He is best known as an ROH jobber and now he's in a tag team with Dustin Rhodes?
