Lately I’ve been burned out on wrestling so I turned to YouTube for something to watch and started watching the 1990 nascar season. I’m a marginal racing fan and don’t have much knowledge of any racing from the 90’s so it’s all been new to me. I’m 4 races in and have to say Dale is a pretty cool dude I can see why he was so popular. I’m really enjoying the gritty nature of the racing and the broadcasts. So far their have been a few wrecks but mostly a lot of broken cars. I’m looking forward to see how the season plays out. No spoilers please hahaha.

Kinda know what you mean on getting burned out on wrestling. I don’t even watch the current product but am really burned out on all of YouTube and discs of old wrestling I’ve been watching.  Still have a stack of shows to watch about a foot tall, but i enjoy baseball in the summer and have Mlb.tv.  Hang in there.

I won't give a spoiler but man are you going to be disappointed in about 10 years.

Because dale dies or because of rule changes?

I don't now anything about NASCAR so couldn't even say I have knowledge of rules changes.

Just finished the TranSouth 500; Dick Trickle wrecked towards the end of the race and was visibly smoking a cigarette waiting for the wrecker on his in car camera; Ned Jarrett commented on it as well.

When NASCAR enforced full-face helmets, Trickle had a hole bored in the mouth area of his so he could stick a cigarette in.

When your name is Dick Trickle, you better be.

I failed to mention earlier that Kyle Petty won at Rockingham from the pole earning him in excess of $200,000 in roll over bonus money from pole sponsor unocal 76. That has to be a highlight of his career.

I just watched the YouTube channel 'Black Flags Matter' video "Nascar Busts: Rob Moroso" and thought of this thread.

I'm not sure how far along in the season you are, or how familiar you are with Robbie so I will not spoil anything.

My favorite driver then was Darrell Waltrip (Ryan Blaney now).

I’ve watched the first 7 races so far. Moroso and the other occasional rookie haven’t done much till this point.
