Clearly the Browns got their act together last year once Baker Mayfield got onto to field and Hue Jackson was shown the door.

Expectations are lofty now. A couple big-name offseason acquisitions, some departures in Pittsburgh  (Bell and Brown) have resulted in the Browns being favorites to win the division.

You buying?

That 9 wins is sooooo close. Since I have to go over/under I'll take a stab at the over with 10 wins. Mayfield is the real deal- makes me wish the Lions had him vs. Stafford!

First 7 games for Browns look tough . They could be 3-4 or worse in those games. Last 9 looks easier. Maybe 6-3. I think they win 9 max. I'll go under.

Gimme under.

1-5 vs teams with winning records last year. Had a soft schedule. A year away from being a year away.

i think a lot of it has to do with how the ravens and steelers play this year. until proven otherwise, they are still the browns...i say 8-8, 9-7 at best.

the first game baker throws 3 INTs and odell is missed on an open route, the locker room my be a bit less cohesive than it currently is.

I go under because they are the Browns and will find a way to fuck it up.

That is a good line. I will guess under but I see 10 wins if everything breaks right.

Under. There is so much juice around this team, they can't possibly live up to it. Not that I want to see it happen, but like the 1999ish Jets, wouldn't be surprised if Mayfield got hurt opening day and missed the rest of the season due to something very fluky.

I am a Stillers fan, so I was born to hate Cleveland, but I think they should embrace their “bad boy” image that the media is trying to tag them with. That organization needs a shot in the ass. Give them an image.

I heard head coach Freddie Kitchens say this in an interview yesterday when asked if he thinks the talk from Baker Mayfield is putting a bullseye on the team:

“We don’t care,’’ he said. “It’s already on there so it does not matter. We’ll be ready to play. I don’t know what a ‘bull’s eye’ is. If they’re not trying to beat our ass and we’re not trying to beat their ass, I don’t know what else you do.’’

That was great.
