Andrew Luck has Retired at age 29. Holy shit.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nj.com/jets/2019/08/colts-andrew-luck-retires-in-all-time-nfl-stunner-why-is-he-calling-it-quits-now.html%3foutputType=amp

In an all-time NFL stunner, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has decided to retire, according to ESPN. Luck will make the decision publicly official Sunday at a press conference. Luck turns 30 next month and was still considered to be in the prime of his career, so this comes as an absolute shocker.

As a huge Stanford fan, I'm really shocked over this. I thought he was gonna be a first ballot hof'er.

Yes. Battling an ankle injury.

He looked completely exhausted and defeated in the press conference. Sad.

Obviously Luck became disillusioned with this franchise and it's inability to put an o-line on the field to protect him. It was bad enough that not only did he not want to play for The Colts anymore, but he's so sick of being being beat up that he doesn't even want to request a trade and play for another team.

Ryan Grigson should never hold a GM job again. Where's he consulting now? Seattle?

How long is his contract? It seems like everyone in the organization fucked him without lube. The doctors fucked him. The owner fucked him. The former GM fucked him. The GM fucked him. The coaching staff fucked him.

Do you think he could just wait out the existing years on his contract and go elsewhere when he feels like he can trust an organization?

That whole division is now garbage. It's between a medicore Texans and Titans team now.

I guess he could retire, and return in 2021. He signed a 5 year deal in 2016

He was on the sidelines when the news broke and the fans booed him off the field. Football fans are the worst.

John Cena has a better chance of wrestling for AEW than Luck does of going to the XFL.

I wouldn't really consider him an all-time stunner for his retirement, considering he had been beaten up year after year.

His dad is commissioner of XFL.   Creates a great angle.

I do not see this as a great historic retirement. Guy was beat up.

I respect his decision, but the timing stinks for Colts fans. I believe he's back in a year or two.

Belichick on Luck announcing his retirement: "He's a good player. I didn't see that, but I don't really follow them."
