There is an obscure cable channel (I forget the name) currently airing the GI Joe's from the 1980s and possibly the Transformers from the same era too. Because TV episodes run shorter now, to chop time without losing story content, the "Now I know! And knowing is half the battle", PSA segments aren't shown.

There were Marvel comic books for both toy lines, but the intellectual material was owned by Hasbro and Marvel had nothing to do with the TV cartoons. They're not likely to show up on Disney+ unless some more media consolidation occurs.

Tubi TV (app and website) has had the GI Joe and Transformer cartoons for awhile. It's actually a pretty cool app and has all kinds of cheesy 80's/90's sci-fi and horror flicks. With limited ads. I recommend it.

GI Joe, Transformers, etc were done under "Marvel Productions", which partnered with Sunbow to produce the various Hasbro cartoons in the 80's. A lot of the same production personnel, voice actors and background music were used in both "Marvel Productions" and "Sunbow". So Duke had the voice actor as 80's NBC animated Bruce Banner, etc. Sunbow was pretty much the Hasbro properties, partnered with "Marvel Productions".

I don't believe that "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" and "The Incredible Hulk" had the Sunbow branding on them, though. Just "Marvel Productions". Whereas the Hasbro shows usually had both brandings.

Marvel Productions also did RoboCop in the late 80's. But I imagine that's currently owned by whoever has the RoboCop license. Same for Fraggle Rock and others:

So yeah, to bring it back to Disney+... it makes sense that the Marvel/Sunbow/Hasbro shows would not be included, nor expected.

So it is up and running..just watched Mandalorian, It was ok for the first episode. Nothing really mind blowing. Only 40 mins.

I guess you couldn't download the app before today? I'm probably going to need to buy a new Roku to watch this because I don't know if the 1 is supported and my smart TV is "too old" (less than 5 years) to have it. This is really annoying. Same issues with Apple TV.

As far as I can tell, Netflix is down to Ozark, Stranger Things, BoJack Horseman, and Black Mirror (which runs about 3 episodes every 18 months) as far as decent original series go. To keep their numbers up, they are adding a LOT of Korean and Indian movies and TV shows, along with third-rate documentaries (some are just 20 mins of drone footage without commentary called "INSERT PLACE NAME From Above"). A lot of movies are only on Netflix for 2 months before they are removed again, some only last six weeks. I'd happily pay $30, maybe up to $50 for "Spotify for TV and movies." One service that has 90% of everything that has ever existed. By spreading everything around an ever increasing number of providers, they are just encouraging piracy. For me, the Disney+/Hulu deal is the closest we will get. That covers Disney/Pixar/Marvel/LucasFilm/ABC and now everything from Fox. Fox wanted people to pay for a streaming service that only had The Simpsons, now The Simpsons is part of Disney+.

What app do you use?


Didn't see this until today, sorry. I used to use one called Upflix. It's not in the App store anymore but you can download it from their website and they still update it.

Now I use the Justwatch app. It's more fiddly to check different countries, and changing countries also changed the language. It has a huge upside in that it covers every streaming service, not just Netflix. Theh also have a website. Even if you don't have a VPN it's great just to check if/where a TV show or movie is available to stream via any method imaginable.

They are having first day problems..Log in issues, Streaming not playing.

I was Was able to to watch the Mandarlorian but couldn't watch anything else just keep loading. When i hit refresh the page comes up but there is no play button.

After about a hour went back and was able to watch A spider man cartoon from 81. Then a few mins ago I went back because I read there is a change to the Han Gredo scene in A new Hope. I couldn't get to the movie or anything else Keeps saying something went wrong try later.

How about your log-in?  Just your e-mail?  I'm at work and haven't looked at anything yet so I don't know how the app works, but I was just surprised to see nothing e-mailed to me with the slightest bit of direction.

Yeah asks you for your email then your Password.    I never got anything either other than I signed up and when my free week is over.

I signed up for the Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu bundle. I was expecting to have billing issues (get overbilled) since I already have Hulu with Live TV. Surprisingly, there was no issues. Disney billed it correctly the first time by charging me less for the package (Only charged $7 instead of $12 for the current billing cycle).
So far, so good. No billing issues. No streaming issues for me. Disney+ works, ESPN+ works, Hulu still working. Given the large number of people projected to sign up, I was expecting things to be problematic for a week or so. I am pleasantly surprised.
So glad that I dropped Netflix :)

I have Hulu and never realized until today that it can be bundled with Disney+ and apparently with ESPN+ too. Was it easy to sign up in this way or was it sort of a hidden thing that was hard to do?

It was easy to do. When I entered my credit card info and clicked submit, it was able to tell that I already had a Hulu account and then billed appropriately. I assume it checked against my name/e-mail address somehow.
