So far, so good. No billing issues. No streaming issues for me. Disney+ works, ESPN+ works, Hulu still working. Given the large number of people projected to sign up, I was expecting things to be problematic for a week or so. I am pleasantly surprised.
So glad that I dropped Netflix :)

I take back all of the nice things I said earlier. I just got an e-mail from Hulu advising that the cost for Hulu with Live TV is being increased from $44.99 per month to $54.99 per month.

It is still way cheaper than what Comcast wanted to charge me for its basic cable package and the channel lineup available on Hulu includes a lot of sports channels (live sports is the only reason that I still get live television or else I would be content to binge watch everything online).

Watched the first 2 episodes of “The Mandalorian” tonight. Very basic storytelling, and slow moving, but well executed. The feel is somewhat similar to the original trilogy much moreso than the prequels and sequels. Visually it all looks great. There’s just not a whole lot to say about the plot yet.

There's actually not a lot of dialogue at all, which is a staple of many of Dave Filoni's early Clone Wars episodes (which I can't recommend enough, along with Rebels). So far, so good.

Watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 tonight too.

Well The Mandalorian rapped up season 1. Love the season can't wait till season 2. But I thought Chapter 8 was a bit of a let down.

Will be canceling now until the first Marvel Show or next Star War Show comes to the site

So far, other than the movies I put on for my son, I've only watched The Mandalorian and am binge-watching The Clone Wars.  I'm hoping they start adding more original content soon.

Same thing with Apple TV.  I have a free one year trial and finished The Morning Show, and now I can't figure out what else is on there worth watching until Season 2 starts.

Last season of Clone Wars comes out in February 2020

FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER doesn't come out till Fall 2020. So I don't need Disney + until then.  I have all the MCU and Star wars Movies on DVD so there is nothing else on there that I  interested to watch.

So next Month time to Rejoin DC Universe so I can Binge watch Season 2 of Titans

I’d never even heard of the DC universe as an app or streaming service until I saw this post. I briefly just looked at it. Is it worth it?

I just binged the Mandalorian. Man, I'm hooked..it's so damned good, it's right up there with Rogue One as the best things Disney has done with the Star Wars franchise. And damn, I'll admit it, Baby Yoda is fucking adorable lol..

It's the best thing to happen Star Wars in years, maybe decades.  Definitely a "less is more" approach, which is the opposite approach to the movies.  Very well done and goes back to the roots of the franchise, which was always supposed to be a space western more than a glitz and glamor epic.

That said, I'm disappointed that Disney+ hasn't introduced much else for adults worth watching.  I'm getting my money's worth because my son can watch the cartoons and stuff, but I was hoping for more by now.  They need to get these Marvel properties out since they pulled them from Netflix.

Anyone see "Hamilton" on Disney+ last weekend? A lot of people signed up just for that. It really was fantastic as advertised even if they did somehow make Hamilton a babyface and Jefferson a heel against all common sense and decency, but it was his play so I expected that going in. Really brilliantly written lyrics though.

I saw the musical in the theatre in London, got lucky with standby tickets when I was down there for work. I'm not a fan of musicals but that one was brilliant.

(best musical: Our Ladies Of Perpetual Succour, about six Scots girls in a choir competition who go out on the lash in Edinburgh. Scabrously funny)

Better enjoy it while you can, now they want to cancel it because Hamilton and Jefferson were slave owners

If you enjoyed The Mandalorian and like behind the scenes and markings of, the 8 part series they recently added is a fantastic deep dive into the show.
