Just all on the 1994 Super Bowl Champion Niner team alone: Richard Dent, Ricky Jackson, Harry Botswain (RIP), who did an angle in ECW in 1996 as Brian Pillman's bodyguard, and Deion Sanders.

Also Randy Moss on the Niners in 2012, making the top 3 WR in NFL history, Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss, all Niners at one time.

In 2003-04, the Portland Trailblazers traded Rasheed Wallace. He ultimately wound up with the Detroit Pistons with whom he won an NBA Championship that season. However, in between those two teams he wound up with the Atlanta Hawks. He played exactly one game in a Hawks uniform. That team never intended to keep him. They were in full rebuilding mode and were clearing out salary in favor of draft picks, less expensive role players, and contracts of guys they didn't want that would expire after 2003-04 so they could get the cap room back. It was known from the moment he arrived in Atlanta that Sheed wasn't staying long. He had that one game, then the All Star break happened and he was traded out.

Ron Jaworski is so remembered as a Philadelphia Eagle that people forget he had four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams before going east and then had brief stints with the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs afterwards.

Hakeem Olajuwon played his final NBA season in 2001-02 with the Toronto Raptors.

Ryne Sandberg's rookie season in 1981 was with the Phillies. He was traded to the Cubs ahead of the 1982 season.

Phil Esposito was gained fame with the Bruins and went on to the Rangers, but played several NHL seasons with the Blackhawks before going to Boston. His younger brother Tony Esposito became a legend with the Blackhawks and is easy to mistake a one team player, but he was briefly with the Canadiens before going to Chicago.

Dr. J played a game with the Hawks too, and the ABA filed an injunction against the NBA saying that he had a contract with the Squires.

For the soccer fans, Franz Beckenbauer became a legend with Bayern Munich and the New York Cosmos, but finished up with Hamburg. Johan Cruyff gained fame with Ajax and Barcelona, then went to the NASL for several year, but ended his career with Ajax's arch rivals Feyenoord.

I've remembered all of these on this list but totally had zero clue about Cunningham on the Cowboys and Ravens.

Bobby Hull played less than 10 games with the Whalers. Then retired, and tried to come back two years later with the Rangers. He played preseason and then retired for good.

Martin Brodeur on the St Louis Blues

After Joe Ferguson played a full career with the Buffalo Bills, they let him go when they were at rock bottom. He then played six more seasons for Detroit, Tampa, and Indy and retired at 40.

Gary Carter is remembered as an Expo and then a Met. After leaving the latter team, he had single seasons for the Giants and Dodgers before going back to Montreal for one more year with the Expos before retiring.

Allen Iverson had a big career for the 76ers and then had a brief but productive stint with the Nuggets. He followed that with a season with the Pistons, a 3 game stint with the Grizzlies, and a final short run with the 76ers by which time he'd gone from someone who played near or at his prime in 2007-08 to serviceably in decline in 2008-09 to completely washed up in 2009-10. He had problems with alcohol and other off the court issues that took him down fast. He played his last NBA game at 34 when he conceivably had many years left had he been physically and mentally in shape.

Jim Thome with the Dodgers.

For super-silly-technical-trivia: I believe Thome's the only member of the 600 HR club who hit ZERO HR's for one of the teams he played with (Dodgers).

Others Baseballers of Note:
-Fred McGriff with the Dodgers
-Frank Thomas with the Blue Jays
-Goose Gossage with the Pirates in '77... then with the Mariners in '94
-John Smoltz with the Cardinals
-Ken Griffey, Jr with the White Sox

Football:
The fact that Steve Atwater spent 1999 with the Jets is forgotten by about 90% of "Bronco Fans".

-Emmitt Smith with the Cardinals
-Ken Stabler with the Saints
-Andre Reed and Jerry Rice were both in training camps with the Broncos in 2000 and 2005, respectively. Both ended up being part of the final cuts and never played a regular season game with them.

Doc Gooden also played for the Astros and Rays in his final season.  I remembered both, yet for some reason had blocked out that in 2000 he actually came back to the Yankees for one more run.  I thought when he left for Cleveland he never came back, and honestly, was and still am disappointed that the Mets didn’t give him a shot there at the end.  He could’ve played for that team in at least one or two of those seasons.

During Pete Maravich's final NBA season in 1979-80, he was traded by the Jazz, who had relocated from New Orleans to Utah that season, to the Boston Celtics. At the end of the season, a very burned out Maravich retired despite Larry Bird's attempts at convincing him to come back in 1980-81 and give a full season a try in Boston. Pistol Pete had a lot of personal problems and was mentally done with basketball.

Rick Barry is mainly remembered as a member of the San Francisco/Golden State Warriors. He actually had two separate stints there; 1965-67 and 1972-78. In between he went to the Oakland Oaks of the ABA for a season, then did a season with the Washington Capitals after the team moved east, and then two seasons with the New York Nets. Barry was traded by the Warriors to the Houston Rockets where he played from 1978-80. In Houston Moses Malone had Barry's favored 24, so Barry wore 2 at home and 4 on the road, something I'm pretty sure the NBA no longer allows.

Eddie Mathews played for the Braves in Boston, Milwaukee, and Atlanta from 1952 to 1966. He was traded to the Astros in 1967 and was traded at midseason to the Tigers finishing out 1967 there and winning a World Series ring as a backup infielder in 1968, retiring on that high note.

I feel this one is pretty well-known to baseball geeks, but I still like it:

Hank Greenberg with the Pirates in 1947. For that season, the Pirates moved the Forbes Field left field wall in and the area became known as "Greenberg Gardens". Greenberg only played that one season in Pittsburgh, but the "Gardens" soon became known as "Kiner's Korner".

Walt Frazier got traded by the Knicks to the Cavs ahead of the 1977-78 season. The Knicks had slumped badly in the mid 1970s after winning titles in 1969-70 and 1972-73 with a runner up spot in 1971-72. Frazier was still very good, but had started a slow and steady descent. He took a lot of the heat for the team's performance that rightly should have been aimed at Bob McAdoo and Spencer Haywood. The trade was psychologically devastating to Frazier who loved New York and hit such heights for the Knicks. The Cavs' were coming off of two straight playoff appearances and hoped Frazier could elevate the team, but his heart and mind weren't in it. He had some injury problems and played a combined 66 games over the three seasons he was in Cleveland.

Talking about Roger Craig with the Vikings, he was heavily featured at first, but then fumbled the ball away on a key drive. Denny Green locked him in the doghouse after that.

As a take off on Andre Reed with the Redskins, Darryl Talley played his last NFL season in 1996 with the Vikings.

Ted Hendricks is mainly remembered as a Raider from 1975 to 1983. Many also remember him starting out with the Colts from 1969 to 1973. It is largely forgotten that he spent 1974 with the Packers.
