I enjoyed the show. Best thing I can say is I'll watch the next episode.

I did a bit of checking using "whois" and found the domain was registered in Feb of 2019. If you visit the site, (http://universalwrestlingcollege.com/index.htm) it's straight out of the late 1990's in its construction and look. The address is apparently legit as it's displayed on Google Maps.

Either it's legit or a rib that Andy Kaufman and Sasha Baron Cohen would admire. I honestly hope it's the latter.

Just watched week 2

Still enjoying this. Aldis has a lot of potential.

Feels like they are trying to make it episodic tv ala mid-south.

Have work to do. But I like what they are trying.

They need to cut out the bizarre comedy. It comes off as too much of a parody at times, very close to Southpaw, as I said last week. The Austin Idol and Tony Falk stuff is just way off brand for what they are trying to do. Marquez' facials were appalling when he was interviewing Sandow (or whatever his name is now). Marquez was smirking like he was in on the whole joke, but the announcers and interviewers need to be 100% serious or it doesn't work. Sandow's interview was horrible in and of itself, and he got the reaction of a very polite comedy club. He didn't look like a wrestler, and he didn't make me want to see him fight anyone. A complete fail of a segment. I had to laugh at Cornette trying to sorta kinda put over Colt Cabana. Cabana's comedy style isn't too far removed from Orange Cassidy, who is Cornette's current Enemy No. 1.

Apart from that, there was some really good stuff on the show. The wrestling is all good, although it could do with a slightly more modern camera angle. I like that the crowd pretty much play their role perfectly (that opening interview aside). I like the feeling that everything isn't all planned out and scripted, you need a little bit of chaos in wrestling. They are doing a great job with Nick Aldis, and to a lesser extent James Storm and Eli Drake.

There's not a chance I will be paying for the NWA PPV, though.

Just watched the first episode. I really liked it. Didn't love it but if my choice was that or today's WWE, I would rather watch the NWA. Aldis is a good person to carry the title. I still haven't AEW. I will try to catch it in the next couple of days. Just glad there is some competition to the WWE even if it is on a small scale.

Thought #2 was fine. Production values are really fantastic for what they are trying to do. They’ve put together a good roster of established and unknown talent. Watching 4 squash matches a week and 1 main event that comes across like a WWE Main Event match is just really tough to hook 99.9% of fans today though. The parody stuff doesn’t make sense to me and shows you what a hypocrite Cornette is.  The ongoing angle that has dominated the first two weeks with Aldis and Camille having an issue with questions from Joe Galli is just not interesting and even in 1986 wouldn’t have been.  Also, if you’re going for something old school that’s completely family-friendly in every other way, why have guys say “asshole”, “fuck”, and “mother f’n” on the show (the first 2 bleeped, the 3rd not)?  How does that fit the brand?  It’s anti-edgy in every way and then uses language WWE wouldn’t allow. I like alternatives and this is definitely an alternative to anything else being presented today, but that’s the best I can say about this.  I don’t think there will ever be an episode that makes someone say, “I can’t miss this one.”

This week wasn’t as good as last week. I really don’t understand the need to have the Tony Falk and Austin Idol commercials. Those are super fucking stupid. I kinda enjoy the squash matches. Always did back in the 80’s. I would honestly rather watch a squash match over some guys flipping and flopping and catching each other after previously kicking out of the 7th finishing move of the match.

The Episode that the R&R Express win the titles is one I can't miss.

On last night's episode of NWA Powerrr, it was announced the National Wrestling Alliance will return to PPV on Saturday 12/14 with "Into The Fire", an event titled after their series' theme song, which is performed by legendary heavy metal band Dokken.

The show will broadcast at 6:05 PM Eastern from the GSB Studios in Atlanta, GA, the home of the NWA's studio series.

The NWA will then tape TV on 12/15 and 12/16.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday. For more details, click here.

I wouldn't pay for a PPV even though I like the TV shows. Then again, I won't pay for WWE's product now either.

They're running the PPV from the TV studio? That's dumb. TV wrestling was a small part of a much bigger whole back in the day, and you get to see some stuff from the arenas every now and again to remind you what you were missing if you didn't go to the weekly shows. The entire NWA universe can't just be one TV studio.

I think a studio tv show is cool but I think the PPV’s should be in an arena or auditorium.

I can't find any other mention of a location for the PPV other than it will be in Atlanta. They are selling tickets, so I don't think they are going to hold it in the studio.
