I was at the Garden that night. Within the first two minutes of the match everyone in the building knew they were going to see something special. New York City had been force fed gigantic behemoths for the past 30 years before this match. No one had ever seen this kind of working. The crowd completely ate up every minute of it.

Was there an 'International' feud between Dynamite and Tiger Mask?

I admit its a very good match -- I'm wondering if there is or was a storyline overseas or if these two just rather randomly ended up in a ring in New York City and hit a homerun.

Average at best. This weeks’ Smackdown was better.

In reality, it was revolutionary to see that at MSG and it wouldn’t surprise me if Vince Jr watched this and thought that he could go forward with his plan to go national if he had talent that could work as tight as this. From that date forward, look at how many talented guys came in and stayed for years.

There was. These guys had wrestled maybe a dozen times already in Japan. The funny thing is that as great as everyone thinks the MSG match is, it is actually one of the weaker matches in the run.

when i was a kid i thought Tiger Mask was great. he was different than everyone else. no one else was like him. and his matches stood out from every other match. its like the lucha's in the Nitro days. their matches were refreshing and stood out because it was different than a flair or hogan or nash match. but if all the matches were like the lucha's it would not be so great anymore. it would get tiresome.

That's one of the things wrong with wrestling today. i was watching ROH once and every match was the same. it was the stupid high spots one right after the other. just nonsense. and these wrestlers are doing all of this crazy stuff and the crowd is just sitting there with their arms crossed. lol
