Regardless, Corey Graves is still a useless and talentless pile of shit. He knew what he was doing all along. Mauro is a priceless talent.

I think Mauro is done this time.  It's very sad but he has problems that are obviously exacerbated in the world of wrestling, even with wrestling being this kinder, gentler 2019 version.  I'm not going to tell Mauro to stop being so sensative because I know he has serious mental health problems that are a daily struggle for him to overcome, but the bottom line is that most people in this world aren't going to walk on eggshells around him and this will keep happening.  For his sake, he probably needs to walk away and just do ad hoc announcing gigs.

That said, Corey's apology is bullshit and you don't just try to stir up shit by taking public pot shots at a colleague with these types of problems, for a reason that will add absolutely nothing of value to any WWE property ever.  He really is that desperate for something to talk about on his stupid podcast?  Why doesn't he kill 30 minutes talking about his estranged wife and kid who he abandoned.  That would be entertaining.

"Corey opens the show by addressing the tweet this past Saturday directed towards Mauro Ranallo during Takeover: Wargames. Corey says he thought it was something that could stir up controversy and give him something to talk about on television or on the podcast. He states that it may not have been the most professional way to go about it, but it was never meant to offend, disrespect, or disparage anybody. That was never his intention. If someone took it as such, he apologizes. Graves goes on to say he didn't mean to cause anyone any undue stress, especially a coworker. He then apologizes again."

What I bolded above is the typical bullshit "apology" that's really a non-apology.  "If someone took offense, I'm sorry."
Get fucked.

Meltzer’s update is that the few people who have been able to contact Ranallo say he’s in “rough shape” and people are more concerned with his safety than whether or not he’ll return to TV. He apparently had a full-on mental breakdown again, which has happened twice previously since he first joined WWE.  Graves is 100% being blamed for this and has some major heat.

Supposedly Ranallo will be back on NXT this week.

I don't know. I fell asleep. RAW sucks.

I’ve read he’s just off TV selling, but clearly there’s more than that going on. It’s been way too long and they never mention him anymore. I guess Vince didn’t like him. I thought he was good. He lasted all of 3 weeks or so.

PWInsider reports that Mauro Ranallo has indeed flown to Orlando this morning and will be on NXT.

Graves has pissed off another commentator on PPV night. He posted a pic of Vic Joseph and Samoa Joe and called them the “new and improved Cole & Taz”. Everyone knows Taz would not be amused by something like that and he certainly wasn’t.

“Gee whiz, new & "IMPROVED"? I wish them the best but luck! But, if they are a duo after YEARS of shows than its a fair comparison.  @MichaelCole & I BATTLED for every opportunity as a team.  #DuesPaid

“Jokes aren't funny when pulled on someone who doesn't work there anymore...therefore if its joke than I'm NOT in on it. I dont appreciate being the brunt of a joke from a current announcer especially with the big social media following of @WWEGraves - I'm "out here", he's not.”

Today Taz has accused Graves of being a "shock jock" podcaster who, despite every advantage that WWE is giving his show to be successful, still has to try to make up controversies to get listens.  Graves sure knows how to make friends.

I don't watch Raw, but if TLC was anything to go by, Samoa Joe is a very dull commentator. No enthusiasm in his voice whatsoever. Graves is clearly just a prick IRL, and he thinks he's been around long enough that he doesn't need to hide it anymore. Maybe he thinks his injury will keep anyone from issuing him a receipt.

That's pretty much Joe's real personality, and even the way he sounds during most promos.  Vince likes him, and as a stop-gap to get him on TV while he's injured I have no problem with it.  He's only been doing this for 2 weeks so I'm sure he will get better.  But I thought Dio Madden had a ton of potential and I still don't understand them dumping him so quickly.

Joe's best promos follow the whisper, whisper, whisper THEN SHOUT!!!!!! formula. He should try that on commentary. I guess what's missing from his commentary is that he isn't being a heel.

I won’t spoil it for anyone, but next week’s Raw was already taped because of Christmas and there are big plans for Joe beyond the announcing table...
