Bobby Fulton, best known as one-half of the Fantastics tag team with the late Tommy Rogers, announced this evening on his Facebook page that he had been diagnosed with throat cancer.

Fulton wrote, "Good Evening! It’s Friday December 6 at 11pm. As you know or most know, I had a very important Doctors Appointment today. The News wasn’t what I wanted to hear. God My Heavenly Father has never done me wrong ever! I serve a mighty God. A risen Savior in my Lord Jesus Christ. I want no sympathy! I’m just informing you, that I have cancer in my throat. That’s gonna be treated the game plan is being put together on this coming Tuesday. I want your continued prayers. ALL THINGS work together for good for those that loves God. That are CALLED according to his PURPOSE. No sympathy just prayers. Thanks "

Fulton, 59, has been wrestling since he was 16, originally in Ohio before working for a number of different territories including Memphis, Mid-South, World Class Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, WCW, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and internationally, Stampede Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling.  He and Rogers were one of the best teams of the 1980s, specifically when feuding with The Midnight Express and The Sheepherders.  Fulton made at least one appearance in the WWF in the late 1990s.  In recent years, Fulton has remained active around professional wrestling, promoting and occasionally still wrestling while making appearances at different wrestling convention and signing events.

Baby Jeebus gave Bobby Fulton the cancer to force his fans to pray for him?

“God My Heavenly Father has never done me wrong ever!”

Well there’s a first time for everything.

Bobby Fulton is back hospitalized. His son, Dillon Hines, wrote, "I'm sadly informing you today that my father has been admitted to the hospital. He's in poor condition. Please send positive thoughts and prayers for him. Thanks!" Les Thatcher posted that Fulton's cancer has returned. I hope that's not the case. Fulton had been told by his doctors he had beaten cancer just a few weeks ago

A month or two ago Fulton said he would wrestle 10 more matches after Covid and asked fans for suggestions on opponents. However just 3 days ago he announced he was retiring immediately. Unfortunately I do think this might be the end as this is very bad news.

Dillon posted on Facebook today that Bobby is having surgery at 1pm today for an internal bleed from an artery. Sounds like very serious situation. All prayers for successful surgery

I’m way behind on the 605 super podcast but Bobby was on a few times that I’m aware of and really sounded like a hell of a nice guy. Always spoke positively about things and had a story about wrestling I believe Nikolai volkoff on some amateur mats At a show because the ring never showed up.

Best wishes to Bobby. I was never a big Fantastics fan. I think most of their matches against Sheephearders in Mid-South / UWF and their matches against Midnight Express were great in the 1980's though. I think Tommy was the better wrestler, but obviously I'm hoping Bobby pulls thrue. Cancer sucks!

Got this info from a Cornette podcast, Fulton does not have a re-occurrence of cancer. There was miscommunication between the dr. and Fulton's son. The info about surgery to repair an artery is accurate.
