The Saints went 13-3. One of the losses was the game in which Drew Brees got hurt and only attempted 5 passes before leaving the game. Another of the losses was by 2 points to the 49ers in that epic shootout a few weeks ago. The other loss was to the Falcons in Brees' second game back from injury when the Saints couldn't get anything going on offense at the Superdome. The Saints had some trouble, but eventually beat the Falcons in the return game in Atlanta a few weeks later. Apart from those two games, Brees has looked like a superstar in every other game. This was the matchup Vikings fans wanted the least in the playoffs, figuring the Seahawks look shaky, the 49ers are injury riddled after peaking early, and there is a familiarity with the Packers. I think the Saints are going to win big on Sunday.

As a Niner Faithful for 39 years, tamalie and all Vike fans are my best friends this week. Of course the last time I rooted for Minnesota to beat New Orleans in the wildcard round so that SF had an easy divisional round opponent, the Vikes came in and kicked our #1 seed ass in 1987.

Buff and Tenn are primed for upsets. As for the NFC, I predict the home teams will win.

Good chance to see Kwon Alexander back if the Niners move on.  Tartt has missed the last 3 games, Ford the last 6 and Alexander the last 8. That's where their defense went. Ronald Blair is done for the season. If for not that the defense would be back at 100%

Jason Garrett was just canned, and will no longer be part of the organization in any way. Sad day for Cowboy haters.

More cluelessness from Cleveland - today they announced that they will hire a head coach before they hire a GM! (Shaking my head) Ya gotta love the Browns for all the unlimited comedy they supply us.

Sadly, not yet. After 45 years, I think I'm done.

I don't recall another Wildcard Weekend where both AFC games were played on Saturday and the NFC games on Sunday or vice versa. Is this a recent thing?

Perhaps the league didn't want New Orleans and New England playing on the same day since those are likely the games which will do the best ratings. I don't think most fans outside of Philly and Seattle gives a rat's ass about that game.

Edit: I was informed that this happened once before on Wildcard Weekend January 2016.

I like one day being AFC and the next being NFC. At the end of the day today the AFC picture will be clear and not waiting on another result

Buffalo vs Houston was a really enjoyable game to watch, and Deshaun Watson made Harry Houdini look like an amateur on that last play.

Congratulations to tamalie and all Viking fans for pulling off a great upset win. That being said, I hope y'all get the living shit kicked out of you next week!

hahahhaahha>Sean Payton. I hate that guy.
Whats his excuse today?
Saints have a good run game but they always prefer to showcase Brees. Running Kamara ony 7 times is a bad move IMO. Its not like they were blown out and had to pass.

It's already being reported the 49ers whole OL and DL will injure themselves this week and you will be using Practice Squad Players and CFL waiver wire hires to fill the gap.

Maybe so, but the Vikes are starting Kirk Cousins, so everything is even.

I would of liked to have seen Philly take out Seattle tonight. That Clowney hit on Wentz was f'n brutal, and even though he targeted, I'm still not sure that it was a deliberate cheapshot or not.

Cousins  holds on to ball a little longer than most QBs.Niner D-line will feast. Niners getting healthy.. Opening  day Starters on defense all back.

I don't necessarily agree with it but that is how it appears to be called all the time to me, which means they missed this one.

They should have signed Jonathan Kongbo to the active roster instead of the reserve/future. Kid can play.

I figured the headlines in Minnesota today would be all about another disappointment with dark questions being asked about what comes next for the Vikings. Yesterday's win was great in part because the Vikings so often lose those games and there were several points when momentum either pivoted to the Saints or had a chance to, giving Vikes fans that familiar, uneasy feeling. I think they can beat the 49ers, but if they don't win while managing to not get embarrassed, I'll be fine enough. They have already exceeded expectations.

Is Kongbo a LB or D-lineman? I was listening to his interview and he said he prefers LB but will gladly put on 30 pounds to play the line. He just wants a shot in the NFL.
