3 weeks and nothing?  Yeah, I guess that's about what this movie deserved.  It wasn't good, it wasn't bad, not much happened, and then it was over.

Haven't seen it yet. It's funny, I saw every Star Wars movie in the theater right up until they released Solo. And for some reason, I didn't make it to any of the others. I have them on Blu Ray, but didn't go to the movies to see them. The last real movie, the one that was before this one, I actually saw on a Jetblue or Delta flight while it was still in the theaters so I count that as an "in theater" deal even though it really wasn't. And for sake of full disclosure, I didn't see Star Wars in '77, I saw it in '79 when they did the re-release prior to Empire Strikes Back (also saw the re-re-release in '97 in the theater). My brother took me in '79 and it was at the time the greatest single day I ever had. Everybody at school was Star Wars up the ass, and I finally got to see it.

Return of the Jedi was released in 1983 when I was 6, and to the best of my memory it was the first non-cartoon movie I ever saw in the theater.  And then I've seen every other Star Wars movie in the theater, except for Solo.  In the last 10 years, I've only gone to about 3 movies a year (if that) and Star Wars is pretty much always one out of tradition.

The first one is a complete waste of time.  Only watch the second if you're interested in the Clone Wars cartoon now streaming on Disney+, but it's not great.  The 3rd prequel I really liked.

Huge SW fan here going back to ‘77 when I saw it on the big screen sitting in the drive-in theater with my parents. I’ve read all of the books, comics, seen the cartoons, etc.

Thought it was ok. Saw it opening night. Here’s the funny part- the farther removed from the showing, I have less interest in seeing it again.

I used to go see movies two or three times. I’m good with this one though. Asked my boy over Christmas break if he wanted to go see it again as perhaps a matinee show. He didn’t.

Part of the problem is that the movie is too exhausting. It’s too much. There’s no time to breathe. Recently watched one of the old Star Trek movies from the 80s, and just talk about a totally different way of making movies.

I have another theory, with no real evidence but just kind of a gut feeling. I think the over-Disneyization, including Rey with basically the lead role as a chick, doesn’t resonate with most SW fans.

I've seen it three times so far, I loved it. Hit all the highspots I wanted, they didn't fuck up too much, it was well done. Final movie and they stuck the landing. I can't complain..especially since there wasn't much Rose in it, that was a plus..

I thought they were all great. Still think story wise Sith is the best movie of the star wars Sega

Wow Pick, I agree but I think you and I are in the vast majority. My buddies who are all SW geeks, roast me everytime I say Sith was the best. The final 30 min or so are just incredible.

Sith is by FAR the best of the prequels, I'll give you that. I like that one a lot but Phantom Menace and especially Attack of the Clones don't stand up anymore at all. I wouldn't watch Attack of the Clones again with a gun to my head..

The movie was MEH to me. It was fast pace enough for me to not hate it.
