I know it’s early, but I actually like the card so far. Haven’t been able to say that in a few years. Now let’s see how they can fuck it up.

I like the women's matches. They're relatively fresh and those are the 4 top female workers in the company, along with Toni Storm. They don't need to cram a bunch of women on the show just for the sake of doing it, they just need to highlight the ones that deserve it. Those should be good matches.

I can't get excited for any Lesnar match. Either McIntyre will win and Lesnar will once again make it clear that he didn't even want to be there, or Lesnar will piss off the whole crowd by going over again. Either way, it will be a 5-minute match and Vince will go back to Lesnar again a month later. Who cares anymore?

Orton vs. Edge is as uninspiring a return match as possible for Edge. I can't get interested in anything Orton does.

Wyatt vs. Reigns will be a poorly produced horror movie because that's what gets Vince off these days. Wyatt's big matches are never even matches, just special effects shit-shows.

The TLC tag match will be fine but it's just a bunch of jobbers who Lesnar already beat all at the same time so why should anyone care about them?

Unless TBA are someone special, that will be the worst (men's) TLC of all time. The Miz prizes himself on being a safe wrestler, so what's he going to do in this match? I've been waiting 10 years for The Miz and Daniel Bryan to meet at WM, and we are running out of time.

I can't get interested in anything Orton does.Would not surprise me if they are doing a repeat of the HHH/Shawn Michaels angle from HBK's comeback in 2002.  They have the unsanctioned match and beat the living hell out of each other.  But that's not my main point.  I believe that Edge is working with Randy because Edge trusts Randy - Orton's style is basic and extremely safe.  As long as he doesn't do a head punt, which I think they banned anyway, him wrestling against Orton is almost like not wrestling at all.  Edge said he's 46 years old and has been away for nine years...no doubt in my mind he wants nothing to do with Seth Rollins, who has hurt many people.  He won't want to deal with the mass on Samoa Joe.  He may wrestle AJ, but there's a zero percent chance he would take his finisher, so that's probably out.  He won't ever face Lesnar.  As far as new guy matches go?  Probably Daniel Bryan down the road, maybe Bray Wyatt, possibly Reigns, not sure who else.

I was actually thinking this last night and it's a good point.  Orton vs. Edge in particular has Saudi Arabia written all over it.  So we'll see.

Meltzer is reporting that all matches on the SD! side are up in the air again as Vince has reconsidered the planned Wyatt-Reigns and Cena-Elias top matches.

This opens the door to Goldberg beating Wyatt for the title in Saudi Arabia and defending it at WM. Vince still isn’t sure what he wants to do.

Elias was the hand-picked opponent but Cena and Vince liked the idea to take him to the next level, but now he now fears that it’s not a big enough match. Cena will have input in his match though so it’s also up to him how he wants it to go, per the agreement for his return.

The Undertaker’s opponent is scheduled to be AJ Styles right now but that could also change. Styles name-dropped many legends in a recent promo, and it’s possible they could switch off of ‘Taker to go with Shawn Michaels, HHH, or someone else.

Ticket sales are reported to be slow, which may be contributing to wanting to switch up the card.

Tyson Fury vs. John Cena at WM 36 would draw, although I'd rather see Fury vs. Lesnar in a shoot or work WWE title fight. Obviously we won't get that, just sayin'.

Meltzer says that once word leaked that the plan had been switched to Reigns vs. Goldberg at WM, Vince threw a hissy fit and just decided to hand him the match on SD! instead of having him win the elimination chamber match to earn the title shot. So now the entire idea of a men’s elimination chamber match is up in the air and so far we only gave a tag team one announced. This WM season seems like a bigger mess than usual.

For a few years, everything from RR to WM was entirely predictable. The path was written, and they didn't deviate. I didn't mind this so much. Stories are more about how than what.

Now we are back to swerves and changing anything that gets leaked, which leads to very rushed booking.

On a related note, wrestlers need to sort their shit out with regard to leaking stuff. Actors hold these things very close to their chests, and some movies and TV shows are absolutely watertight. They understand that leaks can cost money in the short and long term. NXT has a much better hold on this, and I see very few AEW spoilers. Probably due to the locker room being happier.

Leaks aside, once Goldberg won the title (and even before), it was pretty obvious that Reigns was going to be the challenger at WM.  The only possible way to keep fans guessing would've been to put Cena in the elimination chamber match too, but I doubt that was an option.  It's not like WWE has 15 top-tier WM-worthy challengers primed and ready to go.  So in this case I think the leak made no difference and Vince is just being ridiculous.  Just give us the damn elimination chamber match and let the obvious happen.  Sometimes the obvious is the best.  Now we don't even get the match, and it probably would've been good, and maybe *gasp* they could've put over someone else strong in defeat.

We’ve been saying it for years, but at this point is Vince just too far gone for the company’s good? We’ve all heard the stories dating back decades of how he has final say on everything, but at even when the WWF was at its cartooniest, at least the booking was planned out in advance and especially Mania.
