PWInsider posted this.  I'm not sure if it's been floating around for a while or not.  This is 20 minutes of an hour and 6 minute match between the two from 1932 at the Madison Square Garden Bowl in Queens.  At the time, this was a brand new state-of-the-art arena, and it would probably be best known as the site where James J. Braddock beat Max Baer for the World title.  I believe the site is now a Home Depot and parking lot.  It was within walking distance (although a bit of a long walk) from where I lived for 35 years, so it really would've been awesome if such a major arena had still been there during my lifetime.

You're right about the Home Depot existing on the spot. But did you know, that not only the MSG Bowl was in our hood, but there was also the Queensboro Arena on 32nd Street right off Northern Boulevard. It ran full time boxing and wrestling cards up to 1961. Closer to my neck of Astoria was an outdoor oval which now houses the ICYP Little League. It was on 20th Avenue and 37th Street which was right next to the Steinway Piano factory. Anyway, it ran outdoor cards every summer with Rocca headling many of the cards. This shut down around 1960 when I think the aforementioned Little League bought the land.
