24 years ago today was Scott Hall on Nitro.

I'll go 'old school' on my 'unforgettable' pick - Bob Backlund had just lost the WWF title and Lord Al Hayes is in the dressing room and Arnold Skoaland is talking while Bob Backlund is crying. Backlund looks weak there but you get the look at the beaten former-champ and all of it's history.

I’m going to avoid the obvious like Punk’s Pipe Bomb, and Dusty’s Hard Times. Two that I love are Ronnie Garvin’s “Ric Flair, I’ve got your number” right before he wins Big Gold, and I like Dusty making up with Dustin in ‘94 mid ring asking if he would carry his old tired ass and let him be his partner and we can seal it with a hug and kiss baby.

I love the whole angle where Ric Flair wins the IC title and talks about how it could only be better if his best friend in the world HHH was there, he did these promos for 2-3 weeks, and finally HHH came and cut a promo then just split Flair open like a watermelon...one of Flair’s bloodiest angles on TV.

Ric Flair on Nitro against Eric Bischoff. "Fire me! You can't fire me! I'm already fired!"

Mad Dog Vachon building Jerry Blackwell a coffin is my all time favourite.

Muraco from the locker room just prior to the cage match with Snuka. So great.

Brian Pillman's ECW debut where he buries WCW, Eric Bischoff, and Shane Douglas. Then he threatens to take a piss in the middle of the ring, and attacks a (planted) fan before finally getting thrown out of ECW Arena.

The Stone Cold promo about his training method for the 2002 Royal Rumble.. He rants about going to a bar, drinking a lot of beer, and fucking around throwing darts, playing pool, and riding a mechanical bull before starting a big fight and throwing everyone out the door. Then he goes to Whataburger and orders a bunch of shit to eat. Drinking beer and eating bad food to lower his center of gravity so it'll be hard to throw him over the top rope.

Another good Steve Austin promo was, I believe it was the night after Survivor Series 1998 at the peek of the Austin-McMahon feud and the Monday Night War, while on the Titan Tron, he told The Rock (paraphrasing) "When you look down at your pager and see the number three sixteen, you know your ass belongs to Stone Cold". Soon Rock gets a page, looks at it and starts to panic. Austin sneaks up from behind and gives Rock the Stunner to a massive pop.

EDIT: It was from the 11/23/98 RAW

Exact quote: "When you're walking through the airport and your beeper goes off, you look down and it say 3:16, you know your ass belongs to Stone Cold!"

It was actually in 1997 heading into the DX In Your House PPV. Rock was still w/ the Nation and had jacked the IC belt from Austin. There were "technical difficulties" during his promo so he sends the Nation off to see what's going on. The Tron cuts to Austin in the truck and that's where he said that to Rock. He also said Rock needed to wonder whether it was live or memorex. Then Austin comes up behind him as the pager goes off.

Kevin Sullivan- He vs. Dusty isn't good vs. evil, t's evil vs. evil. Rhodes has bad Karma.

Jericho's RAW debut.

Piper's original retirement speech.

Lawler calls Valliant a fag.

Sullivan had a lot of good ones in Florida- cut off the head and kill the body! After injuring Mulligan. Sullivan and Jake Roberts- I was a very good boy this year promo! Jake dressed like Santa and handed him something to KO Rhodes. Gordon said it looked like Santa gave him something, Sullivan said, "I was a very good boy this year!"

Any heel Don Muraco from 1982-1986.

I got a partial of Championship wrestling 6/18/83, where he goes off about being disrespected on Buddy Roger's Corner, then as Snuka comes out for his match he spits on Snuka, then Snuka flips out and rips his clothes off.

He also had a promo around 1985 where he was eating a box of donuts talking about how hard he trains.

Good stuff.

Jos LeDuc slicing his arm open with an axe is one of the more memorable.

I also have vague memories of Dick the Bruiser extolling the virtues of his tag team partner Super Brucie. Brucie weighed all of about 120 lbs and dressed like Superman.
