They are talking about Trump's physical issues on the news stations  but the hosts won't mention dementia, Parkinson's etc. Are they playing dumb or are they not allowed to voice that speculation. lol they even had a doctor on saying they don't know what it could be. That's BS.

I remember in the 90s Trump did some fun commercials, including Pizza Hut.
That's the guy I miss.

His left arm was doing some wacky stuff during his speech today. The pace of speeches getting slow.

I saw his speech today advocating school choice, which I actually agree with, and I couldn’t follow a single thought he was trying to get across. He was again subdued, disheveled, and all over the place. He was trying to troll protesters somehow and saying this was more important than any other civil rights act EVER, but it came across as less bombastic and more sad and he never even got the troll point across. He’s having a rough few days. I’m wondering how he’s going to get himself hyped up for this Juneteenth troll rally on Friday. For his sake, I hope he really is into amphetamines.

I think it is one thing for people in the media to mention things that are visible and relatively innocuous like weight gain, exhaustion, difficulty moving, and looking older, since being President has physically aged every office holder beyond his years in a noticeable way. However, making claims about dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other mental or neurological disorders is another thing entirely because of the ramifications of making such claims without substantive evidence. Journalistic standards, whether published or broadcasted, aren't what they used to be. However, the pros and those that aspire to be are usually very careful about this sort of thing, especially when it comes to the President no matter who is in office.

You can't make a medical diagnosis without being a doctor. A doctor came make a diagnosis without a physical examination. And after the examination there is confidentiality. And the law clearly protects Trump or anyone else at every stage.

The media should not be wildly speculating about the health of anyone. That right is reserved for those of us on wrestling message boards. The fact is that Trump has a doctor on the payroll to say he's the picture of health, and unless you have clear proof to the contrary, there is nothing to say. It's perfectly reasonable to report what you see and hear (shuffling, shaking, slurred speech, etc.) but not appropriate to tie a medical diagnosis to that. The media needs to maintain even the shallowest standards, I would hope.

There were rumors that we was a dark horse candidate to be George H.W. Bush's VP pick in 1988. I don't think they ever went beyond rumors, though. Instead we got Dan Quayle.

Trump still seemed kinda' "cool" in the 80's and 90's. Hosted two WrestleManias, some Mike Tyson fights, had a guest-spot on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", then would goof around on the Howard Stern Show. He even did a daily 5-minute radio spot, around 2003-- a format kinda' like Paul Harvey or Johnny Rotten used to do; only he'd talk about money and business.

There's a story/theory that he was invited to a fundraiser, full of career DC politicians, about 10-12 years ago. Everyone was condescending to him, and shunned him. It'd be like inviting Hillbilly Jim (in kayfabe mode) to your work banquet. So of course he lost his shit and decided: "you fools! No one laughs at Don Jon Trump! I shall have vengeance!"

I think the vengeance was accidental. I always have seen his 2016 run for President as a way for him to get his name out, get some free publicity, and to hype up some issues he cared about. I don't think initially he expected to win and perhaps didn't really want to win or deeply care about losing. Then he started doing well in the polls while the media, entertainment industry, and parts of the general public started running him down. Then the ego kicked in, he played to win, and he won, which was both the best and worst thing to ever happen to the guy.

He likes being called and getting to call himself President of the United States of America, having the privilege and trappings of power, and being able to rub it in the nose of everyone who said he'd lose and then said he'd never last four years or run for, let alone possibly win, reelection. However, the average 6th grader who's done the civics curriculum in social studies class has a better idea of how the U.S. government actually works. He's used to being totally in charge and now has checks and balances to prevent him from doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants, while a lot of the finer details and less glamourous aspects of the job bore him to tears.

I think being President has been miserable for him. He is lauded by a his supporters, but is hated in a way few Presidents ever have been and after he leaves office, he'll still be hated by so many people, especially Hollywood and celebrities. He enjoyed mixing with that crowd and now he's shut out for good apart from the generally B list and lower celebs that publicly support him and the Republicans.

I agree but I don’t think he’ll have much time, if any, left. I don’t see a scenario in which he loses re-election, and I also don’t see him surviving long after his 2nd term ends, if he doesn’t die in office that is. The presidency takes years off of most people’s lives, but he’s particularly old and unhealthy.

Perhaps, although I have come to see Trump a guy who can refuse to exercise, eat horribly unhealthily, not get enough sleep, and not follow doctors' orders about the above matters while possibly refusing to take certain medication yet end up like Keith Richards by living long and productively well after the average person would have died a dozen times.
