Slightly off topic but this came from the old DVD message board. There is still a DVD message board out there. Not the original, or maybe. It seems to have alot of posts.
Not sure if the above mentioned thread can be found. Would be interesting to look at.
Wish we could see the original to see if tony Khan contributed.

I can't seem to copy it over for some reason (maybe not enough coffee yet) but if you Google Tony Khan and keep hitting more results about 6 times I guess you will see something from Scott's blog of Doom that shows a post from a Tony K.  that might be him starting the thread.

Impact has effectively fired Michael Elgin. Elgin was initially suspended and appeared briefly on this week's Impact in a taped segment that was not removed, unlike Joey Ryan who was edited out of the show at great difficulty. There was a possibility that Elgin would be brought back in time for Slammiversary, but now Impact has announced that they are scrubbing their taped shows of all Elgin footage and not using him in the future.

With Elgin having burned bridges in ROH and NJPW and WWE never interested in him, you really have to wonder if this is the end for a guy who was a very big indy star.  His only hope is that AEW takes a look at him in a year or two when/if this blows over, but even before the sexual abuse scandal took off, Elgin had made a lot of enemies.

He could easily go to AJPW or even NOAH.

That barely counts.

Fightful reports that it was due to him getting into a fight with Sami Callihan

When was this?  After the allegations broke?

That's weird because chances are they wouldn't have interacted after the last set of tapings, which were a while ago.  But Impact still seemed like they wanted to move forward with him as of 3 days ago.

PWInsider:

Michael Elgin issued the following statement via his Instagram account after being informed Impact Wrestling will not utilize him going forward:

"I appreciate the time and opportunities given to me with Impact. That locker room, the film crew and all the company officials were a pleasure to be associated with. I hope that in time things get sorted.

For now, I have to look at the bright side, I have more time to spend with my son and reclaim time that has been missed."

There are undoubtedly some items on the sleaze list that are true, either entirely or partially with embellishment making the truth nearly unrecognizable in some cases. However, the overwhelming amount of items on the list are complete bullshit. Note that a significant amount of the people named in that list were/are internet fan hate magnets or people generally viewed as goofs while the internet fan sacred cows go largely unmentioned.

Ligero was 35 and wrestling for almost 20 years with little fanfare before getting this opportunity with WWE.  That's gotta suck.
