Not the 'WWF' feud. Always interesting to see how different organizations have the same 'feud' but how they handle it differently.

This has to be close to, if not the final, outside the territory booking for Andre. Vince used to make a nice commission off of these, and Andre got paid like the NWA Champ. Then Vince pulled him from these and changed Andre's agreement to give him a bump in pay for NOT traveling.

On 4/27/84, Andre The Giant teamed with Iceman Parsons to beat Kamala and The Missing Link by disqualification at The Sportatorium in Dallas. As far as I can tell, that was the last time Andre worked for any promotion but the WWF in the United States and Canada. He still worked in New Japan and in Mexico for the UWA into 1986. After that he was a WWF only guy until after WM6.

Vince didn't want him to wrestle anymore. Andre wanted to and contacted New Japan about coming back. Andre didn't fit in with what New Japan was by then, but All Japan had the midcard comedy matches with Baba, Kimura, and company in which Andre's physical decline could be better hidden.

Seiji Sakaguchi personally reached out to Baba about taking Andre to All Japan. Baba made that happen. Apart from his 1991 WWF return that suggested a return to the ring that never happened, Andre went to All Japan and on some UWA tours in Mexico, before his death in early 1993.
