Hello everyone, I know this is a longshot but I was curious if anyone happen to know the promotions Ohio promoter Joe Catanzariti used to promote. I know for a fact he used to promote the Ohio version of Southwest Championship Wrestling, International Wrestling Federation, (Pro) Championship Wrestling and World Bigtime Wrestling. So far, I only know he promoted (Pro) Championship Wrestling with his cousin Joe Zappia. However, what I don't know is, outside of SWCW, whether these promotions were the same or different from one another. I also would like to know the years these names were in use and were it was mostly based. On a side note, he also told me he used to promote events in Michigan. I contacted Catanzariti two weeks ago and told me he would contact me the following day. That day, my laptop broke up and never got any message back. Today, I learned he passed away at the age of 68. I don't have any definitive answers for you. But Joe might be a name familiar to James Hines aka Bobby Fulton who has a Facebook account under both names although Fulton is the one that responds to wrestling posts. Count Grog who posts here might be a good resource as well, who cut his teeth in the WV/PA/OH independents. Lastly you might look up Henry Klimkowski, who traveled that area as a ring announcer for hundreds of indy events under the name Hank Hudson and has posted results on Facebook under his real name with great minutiae, and might direct you as well. I do appreciate the welcoming. However, I tried messaging Hank Hudson (not about this) weeks ago but never received a reply. Since I never got a word from Hudson, I have some promotions without information, hence why I'm asking here. I will wait / try for the other two though.
