No. I wouldn't pay the price to see an NFL game. And I've already decided that if we get free tix this year from work, I'm out.

NFL games are too expensive and it is way better to watch on TV, IMO. Having said that, if ticket prices were affordable, I would probably sign a waiver.

I wouldn't pay to go to any sporting event anymore. With 4K TV and sound systems being the way they are, there's no need to go to a game. I don't have to wait in line for food and if I have to go to the bathroom, I can simply pause the game and not miss a beat.

Used to have season tix for baseball, but freebirds nailed it. I like going to a couple of games a year to just feel the ambiance, and there's nothing like seeing that green field. But with HD or 4K, big screens, DVR, convenience of being at home, it's nice to watch it in comfort and not have to deal with assholes next to you.

Eh, I have Covid patients each week at work. I've had a few die and had to do get them ready for the funeral home. If I went to a Chiefs game, I"m not overly worried..But like everyone else above...tickets are going to be sky high here this year, and I'm not dropping hundreds for a night out.

Despite the cost and associated hassles, there is an atmosphere and level of involvement you get at a live sporting event that the best TV cannot replicate, especially at NFL games.

I have Vikings tickets and at this point hope the NFL plays this season and allows fans to attend. Most NFL teams have season ticket bases that far exceed the number of fans that could be allowed to attend games with social distancing, if fans are allowed in at all. What happens with how that would be applied and how fans would continue to social distance if allowed in is a big mystery. Concourses, restrooms, and concession areas easily get congested. I don't know how this is going to work.

I would probably sign the waiver because it's difficult to see how the NFL would be liable if I caught Covid-19. Anyone could sue, but the lawsuits likely would not gain any steam. Has anyone sued a supermarket or bar over getting infected and had it go anywhere so far?

This! I mean, as we've talked about in another thread here, I've really lost almost all interest in all sports since this thing has started, but even if I didn't, the last actual professional sporting event I paid to attend was probably a Panthers game 7-8 years ago. I just don't understand why anyone would pay money to attend one nowadays when the at-home experience is so much better..

I think it's all a matter of opinion regarding whether the at home experience is better than the live experience. Speaking strictly about the NFL and NCAA Football, when watching at home, I feel disconnected from the game. I find myself tending to household chores, checking out the net, and generally getting distracted, no matter how big the TV is and how great the picture is.

At the game, you have a shared experience and feel the noise and vibe of the crowd in a way TV cannot duplicate. I'll check fantasy football stats and text friends, but largely immerse myself in the action. There is no laundry to be switched from the washer to dryer, no garbage to take out, and there isn't the sense of just sitting at home. Even though I go to sit at a stadium, the act of leaving home to do is an activity.

It is an expensive hobby and the crowds can create inconveniences. However, I've gone to enough Vikings and Gophers games to know how to make it as convenient as possible in terms of everything from when to hit the concession stands and restroom to when to enter the stadium to which routes to take there and where to park.

If we're allowed to go to games, my friends and I will be taking our annual Packer game. This year we're going to the Colts game in November.
