US only, because we could fill several pages just with Japanese matches
What are some of the stiffest matches you can recall seeing? After watching Lorcan/Thatcher, I was trying to think of other matches where the guys just beat the hell out of each other.
I can remember the Regal/Findlay match from one of the Uncensored's in WCW.There was a Vader/Hansen from WCW as well, and of course Samoa Joe vs Kobashi from ROH
What are some others you can remember?

WrestleWar '92, Steiners vs. Fujinami and Iizuka. Steiners did not hold back at all.

Iizuka was a close to a young boy still, and I remember they beat the ever-loving shit out of him.  He wound up becoming a staple in NJPW for close to 30 years and just retired last year.

Cactus Jack & Kevin Sullivan against the Nasty Boys at some WCW PPV from '93. Extremely brutal.

Fit Finlay and the then Steven Regal had a handful of matches on Nitro and a PPV in early 1996. Those guys held nothing back. I forget whether it was regular TV or the PPV, but they had one match that stood out above the others for the way the just laid into one another with the stiffest looking punches, chops, and kicks.

Edit - I see now that wittman2 referenced this in the original post.

No idea how much of this was kayfabe, but Steve Corino threatened to quit US wrestling in 2001 because the fans didn't believe anymore and he was sick of all the "smart" fans who attended indy wrestling shows who thought they knew everything. In order to prove them wrong, he let Shinya Hashimoto kick the shit out of him in front of two dozen fans in St. Petersburg. This show was supposed to be at the famous Armory in Tampa, but had to be moved to a tiny arena in St. Pete, and they kayfabed the whole thing like WWF moving WrestleMania in LA. I'm not sure what Corino accomplished other than blood loss and pissing off the few fans that were there with the BS ending.

Good call, an excellent match that gets forgotten.
To that end, Rick Steiner had a few matches toward the end of WCW that were downright abusive.  I can't remember any names, but there were a couple times where he simply beat the shit out of his opponent.

I always hated the Nasty Boys gimmick when I was a kid, in a change the channel way. My opinion on that never changed as I got older. They were really excellent brawlers, though. An interesting "what if" would be what if Paul Heyman had Sags and Knobbs in ECW but had rebranded them somehow. I think they could have had a much better or at least longer career if they had dropped the Nasty Boys gimmick, or at least the very dated look, by at least 1994.
