I thought the 'Blue Bloods' was a WCW creation. I think.

Regal and Levesque did become a WCW tag team right at the end of Levesque's WCW run, but I'm not sure they ever used the Blue Bloods name. When HHH jumped to WWF, Regal recruited Bobby Eaton for comedy larks, instructing him in the ways of Englishness at the Epcot Centre. And I think it was only then that they had the Blue Bloods name.

It was the most lucrative short-term team in any mid-carder's career as it basically got Regal a job for life in the future despite all his drug problems.  Granted he is fantastic in everything he does (when sober), but taking a young HHH under his wing was something never forgotten that pays off to this day.  Without HHH, I don't know if he ever gets another chance after the "Real Man's Man" disaster that ended with him in rehab (or even before that he might've had major public problems).
